Passionate about his food - Edit
The owner understands what a vegan is and gives two options - a tomato pasta with veg, and an oily spaghetti with olives, tomato and basil/spinach leaves. The fries are vegan too and there's nice beers. Very good.

Great pasta by a super friendly cook - Edit
We had a hard time finding vegan food on Jeju and were super happy to came across this place. The owner knew what vegan was and even offered us a special vegan mushroom cream sauce based on soy milk. We also took the oil pasta, which was equally good. A third option was the tomato sauce, but that one we didn’t try. The owner is super passionate about his food and convinced me to take the cream pasta. He was absolutely right about that!

Really good pasta and knowledgeable chef - Edit
As other reviewers have said about Pasta Studio Jeju, as soon as we said we were vegetarian, the owner/chef told us about the three vegetarian pasta options he can do. These don't appear on the menu but are generally variations on things which do appear on the menu: pasta with a tomato sauce and lots of vegetables, pasta with an oil sauce, and mushroom pasta. He clearly gets a lot of vegetarians here and was well prepared for us. His English was very good.
Read moreWe both chose the oil pasta and it was really great, definitely the best pasta I've had in Asia. The linguine noodles themselves were chewy and perfectly cooked, and the sauce was subtle and fresh. It had some kind of hard cheese on top, so it's worth specifying if you're vegan and don't want cheese.
The pasta came with a bit of bread on the side which was ideal for mopping up the sauce.
Pros: Best pasta we've had in Asia, Knowledgeable chef

Tasty pasta and accomodating owner! - Edit
The owner has 2 options for vegans (and a few more for vegetarians) the oil pasta or tomato pasta. You have to ask him and he'll point them out on the menu to you. I had the tomato pasta and it was really nice. He recommended the oil pasta as the top option for vegans. Overall the restaurant has a nice atmosphere and the owner is very nice and speaks English. He clearly puts a lot of thought into his food.

really delicious! - Edit
First up what isn’t written on here is the break time of the restaurant. It is from 15-17 o clock. The menu itself has all the meat options but there is a notice that you can ask for no meat in the dish so it will be vegetarian. Because of the reviews on here I asked the owner for vegan options and there were two. (He speaks great English btw and also asked again if vegetarian or vegan so he really knows the difference!) I got the tomato pasta option. It was really really good. From the pricing I’d say it is okay or even cheaper than the standard. I’ve definitely seen more expensive pasta in Korea. He also gave us bread and informed me that it isn’t vegan. Very nice of him. I won’t have the time to go again but I’d definitely come back.

Nice small place - Edit
The owner speaks great English and can explain that there are two pasta options he can make vegan. I ate here for lunch one day and for dinner the next day so I tried both and they were really nice! It’s a small place and in a really good location in the touristy area of seogwipo.

Great food - Edit
Small, Italian restaurant. The owner verified with me that I am vegan versus vegetarian. He asked if I would rather an oil or tomato based dish. I opted for oil and he made a delicious dish of pasta, broccoli rabe, tomatoes, garlic and peppers. It's been the best meal I've had on Jeju so far!

Decent pasta - Edit
This is a small restaurant with around 5 tables. The owner is very kind and speaks English well. There are two vegan entree choices: pasta with tomato sauce and vegetables, or pasta with an oil sauce and vegetables. Though I am not a huge oil fan, I did prefer that one due to the zing from all the garlic and red pepper flakes. There are two side options: fries or a lovely green salad. I ate here during kumquat season and the kumquats he added to the salad were divine. The price for the salad was reduced from the normal price with meat which was very thoughtful. There are more options for vegetarians.
