There are only two options for a vegan here: pizza marinara (pizza with just tomato sauce) and zonzelle (fried pizza dough). Both are good, but they are no different from what you can find in literally dozens of places elsewhere in town. If you're vegetarian, you can get veg cuoppo (they contain mozzarella), or Margherita, which is the traditional pizza in Napoli.

Agosto 2023 - Purtroppo abbiamo potuto prendere solo una marinara a portafoglio e un cuoppo di sola pasta cresciuta (non in menù); in realtà avevo ordinato il “cuoppo di terra” e quando nei convenevoli ho detto che sono vegana (quindi no animali e derivati), una ragazza dietro il bancone mi fa “allora la polenta no, perché c’è la carne” 🫥 Non capisco perché nella polenta fritta debba esserci la carne, ma almeno me lo hanno sistemato facendolo solo di pasta cresciuta (ok, però… 🫤 ) e facendolo pagare meno.

Takeaway counter, common chain in Naples. For vegans has marinara pizza and folded marinara pizza (portafoglio). Pizza fritte (fried pizza) has vegetarian options but no vegan.

Towards closing time they run out of options and do not make additional, so may have no vegan late in the night.

Restaurant of fried food. The vegan options are fried polenta and fried pizza without cheese. The food is tasty and the portions are huge, but you need to have a good stomach to digest all that oil! It’s an affordable place. They have no desserts.
