Vegan items on menu NOT vegan - Edit
I was excited to come to Passeys as I heard that they have decent vegan options. I didn’t find this to be the case as 4 items (actually 3 but we will get to that) on the menu were listed as vegan - a soup, a ‘vegan’ steak, a burger and a sandwich (which wasn’t available the day I came here). I went to order the ‘vegan’ steak and after a while of waiting for the food to arrive a member of staff came to tell me that the vegan steak contained eggs and was not vegan. While I appreciate the honesty of the waiting staff in telling me I feel like this should not be called a ‘vegan steak’ if it is only suitable for vegetarians and I worry that people on other occasions may have eaten this item and not been informed that this wasn’t vegan. I instead opted for the burger but found it to be a little disappointing as it was served on a breakfast roll and the wedges that accompanied it were a little undercooked.

Nice café in Portobello - Edit
Passey's is a great place to get some work done with a nice cup of oatmylk latte. Note that if you only drink coffee and don't eat, there's a 45-minute limit to your stay.

Lovely Sunday roast - Edit
Had the curried bean nut roast, came with red cub age, roast carrots, parsnips, and some stunning roast potatoes. All around satisfying!

Coffee shop serving delicious vegan meals. We enjoyed a full roast which was excellent.
