Fabulous cafe! - Edit
This place is fabulous! Everything is vegan (including coffess - only plant mylks) and the menu is great! We had tortillas, nachos, a chocolate and raspberry muffin and coffee and everything was delicious. The staff were lovely snd the cafe had a great atmosphere. Definitely keen to go back!!!

Colourful foods and great service - Edit
Lots of yummy options with decent portions and delicious coffee. I'd go back in an instant if it wasn't so far from my house! 🫶🌱 FYI the food is all vegan but they do serve dairy milk as an option with coffee.

✨SO GOOD that even non-vegans can’t tell the difference!!✨ - Edit
Luxurious high-quality food, incredibly tasty — my absolute favourite place. What a massive and extensive and excitingly large menu.

Pros: ✨Incredibly tasty, beautiful food✨, Huge range of menu options! 🤯, Lovely and friendly staff
Cons: Small space - fills up in peak, get there soon!

@Tiggy — My best friend (non-vegan) only gets his morning coffee from there now, and my Mother (famously skeptical about veganism) eats at least one plant based meal each day — because the food showed her that it’s actually not as “scary” or “unlikable” as she thought, and that at least one meal per day is making a positive impact, in her own way!

Delicious fresh food - Edit
I can't believe I didn't know about this place earlier!
Read moreThis cafe is fully vegan and has an extensive menu of food, drinks, and snacks. The food is fresh and full of flavour. I love how the options also incorporate a little bit of salad to add to the freshness I.e. on plates, platters, burgers, etc.
The staff are also very friendly answering all my questions and providing recommendations.
Will definitely be back!

Pleasantly surprised - Edit
Put off coming here as it looked too “granola” for my tastes. The BLAT was excellent. Great rice paper bacon. The homemade oven fries were well seasoned. Keen to return to try more of the menu.

Open Christmas Day - Edit
We have been meaning to try this cafe and found the opportunity when we saw on facebook that it was open Christmas Day. It’s about 40 minutes from our home. We ordered the lot board and veggie patch as soon as many people raved about it. The serves were generous and flavours were strong. A little too strong for me but still good. I also ordered the banana smoothie which was delicious. Next time I will try something different.

I’m not sure why the change of ownership a few years ago seemed to impact on the popularity of Particle Cafe but the food is great and the owners are lovely. A different vibe perhaps but we need to support our vegan eateries. Lots of options to please different tastes. Me? I love the Rainbow Salad.

This place is amazing. I’ve always had great meals here.
Read more3/4/21 We came here again as we hadn’t been for a couple of years. I ordered a Jaffa smoothie and a blat. I thought it was all very tasty and I really liked the rice paper bacon. The service was nice too.
The service was friendly and although they were busy, we were served quickly. I had nachos which tasted fresh and not too cheesy. My partner had the tacos which he enjoyed and a smoothie. Can't wait to go back! There is seating inside and some outside.

Great Food, Even Better Patience - Edit
It was our first visit to Particle Cafe and we really enjoyed it. Great little spot and the food was excellent. We had the Chicko Mego burger, the Happy Days pancakes, and a beetroot flavoured Red Velvet Latte.
Read moreAlso well done to the staff who had to put up with an annoying family while we were there:
Woman) Do you have scrambled eggs?
Staff) No but we have scrambled tofu - it's a vegan cafe.
Child) I don't want vegan food, yuk!!
Woman) We might just get toast. Do you have cheese? What about normal milk?
Pros: Tasty food, Extremely patient staff

So yummy here! And so considerate when I forgot to mention my nut allergy and had to remove a part of my dish💗 They even replaced that part for me when they didn't have to, it was my mistake after all. Thanks ladies!

I chose this place to catch-up with a friend who's gluten intolerant because the menu has plenty of options for both of us. I had been once pre-pandemic and remembered the cafe being cute and the food tasty. I'm happy to see they've survived and haven't increased the prices much either.
Read moreI got the VIP burger which was very substantial at $24 with big chunks of smoky shiitake "meat" tumbling out, stuffed with plenty of fresh salad, crispy rice paper bacon, dripping with cheesy sauce, served with a side of home cut chips. I enjoy pineapple on a burger so all the flavours came together nicely for me. My friend didn't rate the nachos though, as they're cold and have weird toppings, such as apple slaw and fried shallots. Each to their own! I also had an iced mocha with oat milk which was sweet and strong but probably not worth $8 in my opinion.

Yep, ok - Edit
Ate at Particle a few years ago on a warm summer day and was blown away by the freshness and colour of the food we ordered. I ate at the cafe yesterday, and everything sort of seemed tired or out of kilter from the previous experience. Maybe the weather didn't help...it felt like it wanted to snow in Melbourne, and when my nachos arrived, they were more salad than a hearty bowl of warmth and spices. Long strings of julienne vegs and drippy dressing meant I was wiping my chops after every mouthful - felt like a mucky eater. However, the flavour was there, and the coffee was good.

The nachos were presented as a work of art!! It was entirely unexpected with pink (vegan) sour cream and chopped apples in it but my husband and I agreed it was some of the best nachos we had had.

Some amazing dishes - Edit
I've been here heaps before and always get the tofu scramble and/or the loaded nachos. There was a new additional menu when we were there yesterday, and thought I'd try the Classic Breakie. The description was really misleading, as it wasn't clear that it was not a breakfast plate, but a breakfast sandwich. I wouldn't have ordered it if I had known. It was ok, the tofu scramble was very tasty, but it was slightly overpowered by the lemony avo. The alfalfa sprouts were a very old school, and not very welcome, garnish.
Read moreMy partner got the corn cheese jaffle, which also has herbed mushrooms in it. It wasn't great, the ingredients don't really work together, and it wasn't a substantial filling, like what I'm used to at other jaffle places.
We both decided we would definitely order our go to's next time, which is delicious, and made the mediocre meal this time even more disappointing.
We also bought some sweets to take away. The mini banana muffin was fine, the chocolate icing was nice, strangely was garnished with parsley. The choc chip cookie was very disappointing, it was mainly made using oats, and didn't taste like what I would expect of something labelled choc chip cookie. The notella oat cookie was very raw tasting.
Pros: Delish tofu scramble and loaded nachos
Cons: Misleading names on some items
