I ordered the braised mushrooms with tamarind and some rice and it was nice enough. Quite a small portion.
Read moreThe service was also not great. The waitress was stood playing on her phone and it was hard to get her attention.
It’s more expensive than other places I’ve eaten but it’s still not expensive. My meal came to 90k (£2.90).
Overall it just felt like a very uncomfortable dining experience and I wouldn’t go back.

Great find down the lane - Edit
This place just happened to be nearby when we decided to have lunch and I enjoyed discovering it down a laneway. We were taken to the upstairs dining area, as the downstairs was full and the place seemed popular. It is a bit fancy and we were sitting at a nice table with hot plates on it. We ordered smoothies, calamansi and strawberry, which were very nice. We defaulted to spring rolls for a starter and they were substantial and delicious. We also chose a vegetable plate and it had an interesting variety, including bitter melon, with four different sauces. It was surprisingly appetising for a plate of vegetables. My companion ordered the pineapple fried rice, which wouldn’t have been my choice but it was fine. (I’m just not a fan of pineapple in mains.) This would’ve been enough but we’d ordered mixed mushroom noodle dish. Fortunately it was so good it didn’t feel like a struggle to get though it. This is a lovely place, albeit one not within everybody’s budget. I would love to come back again. #Veganuary

Good slightly upmarket restaurant - Edit
Little bit more expensive than other places but this is a lovely restaurant with great Vietnamese food located down an alley in D1. On the vegetarian days of the lunar calendar it gets very busy but is otherwise normally pretty quiet. Food generally takes a bit to come out by Vietnamese standards.
