Very disappointing service - Edit
I would give this place 1 star if I could but the minimum for veg restaurants is 2 stars. This place was booked out for Valentine's Day but we were able to get a seat around 5.15pm when it was quiet. The decor and menu are both really cool, as described. We ordered two lucky dawgs (vegan hot dogs, it's 2 for 1 on Tuesdays) and some grilled corn. It took 45 minutes for our food to arrive even though there were hardly any people in the restaurant. A table of 4 that arrived well after us were served first, even though they ordered many of the same dishes. Keep in mind we were only a party of 2, much easier to bring our meals out simultaneously than doing it for a party of 4. The hot dogs weren't that warm and while they tasted good, they weren't amazing. At least it was cheap with the 2 for 1 deal. The grilled corn was really fantastic though, really well flavoured. Our waitress had blue-green hair and was pretty rude, seemed annoyed when we asked for a dessert menu. We enquired about hot drinks and she was vague and we were brought a drinks menu for the first time. We had to ask to get more water. She just seemed annoyed at having to do her job. I heard her apologise for the kitchen delay to another couple but not to us. We left a modest tip because I feel really rude not tipping but I wish I hadn't tipped at all. We might have tried dessert if the service wasn't so bad.
Pros: Good corn, Cool decor
Cons: Terrible service, Food wasn't hot

A yummy jack fruit sub was devoured - Edit
I came here with a bunch of people. It was my suggestion to cater for the needs of the group and I feel it was a good suggestion as reactions were all round positive. I had a jack fruit sub with some sweet potato fries and I'd happily have that again. I also had some collard greens on the side and they were pretty delicious. Fairly lively place to have a few drinks in after if you're into that. Hopefully I'll make it back.
Pros: Jack fruit - yum, Reasonable prices
Cons: Perhaps a bit too lively for idle chitter-chatter

Tropical feeling amidst Scotland - Edit
Simply a great venue with awesome decor. It's very enjoyable to sojourn amid this jungle almost - there are plenty of plants, including large ones.
The vegan food options are overly good and inexpensive and huge! I loved the burger with beans and also the onion rings (try them, then you'll know what I mean). Apart from that I recall that most or even all of their draught beers were vegan, so amazing and so rare as well!
On the downside, Paradise Palms can get pretty stuffed with people sometimes, especially the later it gets. Despite the fact that the place isn't small; there is lots of space but it's obviously favoured by many and well-attended.
They do have WiFi but it wasn't that great when I used it.
On a side note, I think it wouldn't damage their turnover, maybe they could even benefit in doing so. That seems to be a very popular location, and many items from the menu they offer are vegan already, so it wouldn't be a great transposition, but it would set an example.
Pros: great venue, great decor, very good value, awesome food
Cons: gets crowded easily, could be fully vegan

Restaurant/Vinyl Store - Edit
This place is a favourite of mine. It's the quirkiest food place I've been to and I love it. There are patterned shirts on the ceiling and typewriters on the walls and a record store in the corner, not to even mention the plants that cover most of the room.
The vegan options are great too, more diner style food options like hot dogs, burgers and nachos, but the food is absolutely amazing and so cheap too. Two people could eat out and have a feast for less than £30

Loved it! - Edit
I've been here a few times and it's just great. Lovely atmosphere, yummy comfort food and pretty cheap especially considering how much food you get! The staff are really great with any questions you might have about exactly what is or what can be made vegan. If I could improve one thing then I'd maybe make sure that all of the veggie options can be made vegan, but overall it's a really cool place that I've recommended to many friends.
Pros: Yummy food, Great atmosphere, Really helpful staff
Cons: Not everything vegan

Great soul food. - Edit
new veggie bar
Updated from previous review on Friday March 11, 2016
Never like to justify a review, but I thought paradise pamls was exactly what it should be, soul/bar good. No pretending to be anything else, just great pub grub.
OK had vegan Nacho's which for once in my life were ******* spicy and full of beans, tasty and satisfying. I had a side of onion rings which I could kiss. Not a shitty packet of crap, actually proper onion rings. Really enjoyed the food, the vibe and attentive staff.
Just arrived at my gig, shonen knife......1234
Pros: Great bar food, Staff, Vibe
