Felt like private dining - Edit
This was a brilliant experience. Our best meal out in Santa Cruz. There was only 1 other couple on the restaurant, so we had a lovely quiet and romantic meal. This is a hotel restaurant so is a real hidden gem that you wouldn't find unless thanks to Happy Cow! It is in the historic Grand Mencey luxury hotel set within nicely landscaped gardens and right next to the beautiful Garcia Sanabria park (ideal for a pre or post meal walk).
Read moreOur waitress was the perfect mix of helpful but non-intrussive. She helped us (along with Barnivore) find a vegan white wine, and also swapped the 3 special butters that came with the bread to 3 vegan alternatives. The food was top quality and beautifully presented. We are both vegan so it was wonderful to have multiple vegan options, plus complimentary appetiser of a delicious watermelon gazpacho.
The only dissapointment was that the dessert was a fruit salad, so we didn't bother with that.
Pros: White glove service with English speaking staff, Beautiful surroundings , Multiple options
Cons: Dessert options lacking
