For when you want a fast food pizza - Edit
There are times, when I crave a fast food pizza, nothing fancy or artisan, but an American-inspired pizza pie that's the size of a wheel and comes fully loaded. Papa John's fits the bill here and, in my opinion, certainly has the best choice from all the large fast food pizza chains here.
Read moreI ordered a Vegan NoChicken BBQ Pizza, which comes with Vegan Sheese, NoChicken chunks, mushroom, onion, and BBQ sauce drizzle. There was also a tub of hot garlic sauce, which was vegan, too. You can have it in a non-hot version, too.
I won't lie, I liked it. It filled a junk food pizza-shaped hole in my belly. I'll order again when the craving sets in...

Margarita sucks, sheese sticks are decent - Edit
A decent selection of vegan options and the delivery was very smooth and packaged neatly. But flavor wise the margarita pizza sucked. It wasn’t terrible but it tastes like someone ran out of mozzarella and decided to use cheddar cheese instead because it does NOT taste like a mozzarella maragarita. Very distinct cheddar taste AND look (I assume they use the Sheesh Cheddar judging by the name of their pizzas). The tomato sauce was good when it wasn’t assaulted by the cheddar flavor. And the crust is classic Papa John’s crust.
Read moreOn the other hand, the cheese sticks are actually really good! The cheesy flavor is a bit muted but still yummy. They also provide a spicy garlic sauce which miiiight be vegan. It depends on what lactic acid source they use. But otherwise it doesn’t have any direct dairy ingredients.
Overall, given the accessibility of Papa John’s throughout the UAE I think it’s a decent joint if you’re craving vegan pizza. But I really think the maragarita pizza needs improvement. Namely not using vegan cheddar.
