Just one vegan pancake available, which was good, but not too special or memorable. During corona times a lot of areas were closed, would have loved to stroll around the apple and pear trees.

I really enjoyed my meal here. The vegan and vegetarian options are clearly marked on the menu, and they have a "vegan specialty" pancake which is made with buckwheat, soy, apple, cinnamon, and ginger.
Read moreThe atmosphere is really nice. There's plenty of outdoor seating and play equipment for children. There is a large orchard onsite, which is where the apples and pears for menus items come from (including apple and pear juice).
My only criticism is that there was only one vegan pancake option (I asked if other pancakes could be made vegan, but this was not an option). I would have loved more choices, but as the vegan specialty was very good this wasn't a massive downside.

Een pannenkoekenhuis is doorgaans een succes met kinderen, maar de Proeftuin is net een tikkeltje specialer door gebruik te maken van de versgeteelde producten. Er is een speelruimte en de ruime opzet voelt prettig.

Big but eco-friendly restaurant.
Read moreThey serve different lunch dishes but their main is pancakes. All pancakes can be made vegan!! Not all toppings are vegan, though.
Most fruits are from their own orchard (which you can visit the orchard for free).
De Proefruin also has a little store where they sell home grown veggies and fruits.
Pros: Lots of vegan options, Happy staff, Fruit tree orchard you can visit
