Serves meat, vegan options available. Vegan and gluten-free friendly eatery that labels its varied menu items. Relocated from 461 Main St. Open Mon-Fri 11:00am-9:00pm.
Let me just start by saying that they had veganaise and an awesome chipotle sauce they use it for which is a blessing in a town like this. Both of the vegan sandwiches were delicious with tempeh bacon, fresh bread and veggies.
The avocado was actually guacamole which bothered me, but inconsequential.
They had a few completely vegan options and my boyfriend and I got the two hot sandwiches. We were both satisfied, but also could have eaten a lot more as we were passing through hiking the PCT. No problem, we just went down to the ice cream/toy shop that always had a vegan option😄
They were out of milk. Not only non-dairy milk I think, but all milk. Apparently their milk guy hadn’t shown up in a few days so that was disappointing. First strike.
My sandwich had a hair in it. Because of my hiker hunger I still scarfed the whole thing down and it truly was delicious, but I put the hair to the side and showed my server as she should be informed of such things. I expected a discount on the sandwich and after that she was avoiding us and only took my 1 coffee off of the bill. I got the feeling that she thought I planted the hair to get a discount with really bothered me. Second strike.
Overall the food will impress you for this small town, but the service is.... fitting?
The food is really good here. I got the Suebee Panino and it was perfection with a vegan Quinoa side salad. The vegan options are limited, have to say "no cheese", but they are clearly labeled.
Staff was good as well. I was worried at first when I asked about vegan options and the bartender started talking about gluten free... But the waitress was spot on.
The sauce game is amazing here. Chipotle veganaise and homemade sauces as well. They have tofu and fakin bacon as substitute.
My husband and I split a vegan rice/bean bowl and a vegan thai wrap. They make their own dressings, and they are so good that we bought a couple of bottles to take home with us. I'm not sure if we'll ever pass through Quincy again, but if you do, be sure to stop!
