Peaceful and Homelike - Edit
This place is wonderful. Although limited in vegan options, the owner is so kind and makes incredible tasting pancakes. This place feels like home. There’s seating in the back garden as well as the front.
Read moreNothing on the menu is clearly listed as Vegan, but the vegan options are :
the sunflower-oil-based butter, the pancake batter, which is made made to order, and the fruit of course.
All of the pancakes can be Veganised by removing the dairy products such as cheese. There are currently no dairy alternatives, like tofu or plant milk, but the owner said that many people have been asking for it, and she is strongly considering adding it to her menu. She hasn’t yet because it’s not ordered enough and she doesn’t get enough customers, so she fears there will be a high food waste. Either way, the pancakes are so delicious and made with love and you can be sure the food is prepared fresh, is clean, and she will take good care of you.
She makes packed lunches as well! Order a day ahead and take one on one of those 6-8 hour bus rides!

Vegan pancakes for a cause - Edit
Coming here is not just for a great pancake, it's a very wholesome experience. There is a lovely garden where you can have your breakfast with some of the rescues that will keep you company. The pancakes are more like thick crepes but they are delicious anyway.
Read moreSuper authentic passion project run by a Dutch lady who's living in Chitwan for 15 years. She has 6 rescues, mostly seniors, and she cares for street dogs. She is very kind and it was lovely chatting with her and getting to know more about her life and project.
To come you can either take a tuk tuk for about 200 or grab the magic bus (small van) from the main road for just 25 a head.
Pros: Delicious vegan pancakes, Lovely garden and good vibes, A good cause to support
Cons: A little far from tourist area, See review for how to arrive!

Wonderful person and good pancake - Edit
The woman who runs that pancake house is originally from the Netherlands. She lived here after volunteering in a school 15 years ago. Since then, she is caring for street dogs and making pancakes. She is heart-warming and friendly and told me everything about her live for dogs. I had a vegan pancake with chocolate and fruits and it was really good and big. She will move to another place in Chitwan to open a dog shelter there and also will continue making her pancakes there.
