The drinks are alright

Thr title said it all. The cakes are a tad too sweet for my taste.

Vegan bingsu

After climbing all the stairs on a hot day, try the vegan version of the Korean dessert bingsu! The pistachio one was really good and like the other reviews say, not too sweet.

Something new

Never had shaved ice before and definitely wanted to try it. To me it tasted better than a scoop of icecrem because of the different textures and flavours. Can recommend the black sesame one, they also had pistachio and chocolate. Asked if they could make a smaller portion but they only make one size.

Cons: Enormous portion

Pretty good

My non-vegan friend who's gluten intolerant felt like she was in heaven! The cookies were really good so I bought a few more extra to go. The only downside was the place uses way too much plastic!

super tasty, not too sweet

soooo the tart and spoon cake we got were SO GOOD. especially for it being “healthy” vegan desserts. the place itself is adorable but we didn’t get to enjoy it. the reason being that we got two desserts (around $12, which is expensive for two small things in korea). however they wouldn’t let us sit inside to eat the dessert bc we got desserts and not drinks which was frustrating😒this is common in korea but still sad bc we wanted to enjoy our desserts in the warmth of the building!

Merenda golosa

Great!

Used to visit here a lot when they were located near Hongdae. The selection seems to have shrunk but still a lot of good choices. The tart was a bit dry, but that’s to be expected from gluten free products. If you’re searching for healthier options, definitely visit here!

Delicious!

We got a black sesame bingsu and raspberry marble tart. The bingsu was lovely and not too sweet, compared to others I've eaten. It's ideal for sharing, or just one hungry person. The tart was interesting and had a few different textures, which we enjoyed. Imo, the tart was very filling so is better for sharing! Would visit again to try the other bingsu flavours.

Pros: Oat milk bingsu and variety of flavours

Amazing vegan dessert selection!

So happy I got to try vegan bingsu before I left Seoul! I had the tiramisu flavour which was so delicious and not too sweet. I really wanted to try the cookies and cakes but most contained tree nuts which I'm allergic to. The staff were incredibly helpful with checking allergens😄
I would highly recommend the tofu shakes too! It's such an interesting texture and flavour. I prefer the matcha version over the chocolate but both are good!

Pros: Bingsu, Great range of treats and drinks

미묘..

맛과 식감 모두 미묘... 맛 대비 비싼 가격. 경리단길에 있는 비건카페들 가서 좀 더 맛있는 디저트 먹는 게 낫다고 생각.

Cute tarte

There were many flavours of tarte and they looked so cute! I picked the tiramisu flavour. The tarte came with four layers, tiramisu mousse on the top, then coffee mousse, sponge cake and tart. The taste was good. Would definitely try it again!

Nice little cafe

Lovely little cafe a short walk from Itaewon station. Had an oat milk latte and an earl grey chocochip smile rice tarte.
The tarte was very sweet and yum for an afternoon snack. Deceptively large portion however!
Latte was good, much needed break from Starbucks!

Pros: Lots of options

Cons: Almost too sweet

Good food, nice location

The portions are a little difficult for one person, especially the bingsu, but everything is well made and tasty!
If you don’t like coconut this place may not be for you though. The smoothies and pastry are made with coconut cream/oil and you can taste it a little.

Pros: All vegan, Delicious food , Big portions

Cons: A little expensive

Delicious

After eating dinner we wanted something sweet and were exciting to try out Pan Honesta since it was close by! We arrived a bit late so they were closing soon but luckily still managed to order some things.

We ended up having the Pumpkin Muffin (Which was amazing!) I don’t like pumpkin at all, but this tasted divine. The cream was lovely and the crust was crunchy. The only bad thing was the difficulty of cutting it, we had a really hard time trying to divide it in pieces and ended up destroying it😒

On the other side, I ordered an Iced Chocolate Latte which was good! A bit too dense for me, but that’s just personal preference.

I’m excited to come back and try the bingsu with some friends~

Cool place :)

Cafe with a small selection of baked stuff. Coffee was really good and the little cupcakes also. But for me personally was the enterieur in all white too cold and uninviting. And the muffins okay but not amazing.

Nice little cakes

I decided for a little Tiramisu Cake, but all flavors looked good, it was hard to decide. The cake was really good, but the lower part was really hard and not easy to eat, that's why it was only a 4/5 for me. The interior was clean, but nice, and the service very friendly. Definitely would recommend.

Pros: Nice flavors, Great taste

Cons: Lower part a bit too hard and dry

Mixed feelings

I went and had the pistachio bingsu and tiramisu cupcake. I also bought chocolate biscotti and a cookie with nuts and chocolate chips to bring home.

My favorite thing was the bingsu. It had slightly sweet shaved ice, and a sweet green pistachio sauce on top, and was sprinkled with pistachio nuts. It was yummy, sweet and refreshing.

The other things were OK but for my taste they were not sweet enough. Also, the baked goods were quite dry and crumbly. It's very positive that they're gluten free for gluten intolerant people of course, but for me that can eat gluten they were a little bit too dry in comparison to baked goods with wheat flour.

The staff were friendly and the view from the 2:nd floor was very nice at sunset. If you like bingsu or if you like less sweet baked goods, I think it's worth a visit.

Pros: Good bingsu , Friendly staff, Nice view

Cons: The baked goods are a bit dry

View

I visited Pan Honesta on sunny afternoon, at the moment they have full floor upstairs with tables and chairs for customers. The rooftop is closed at the moment but there is one table for two on the balcony
As usual you go first and look for a table then you come back downstairs to order.
I got a hibiscus tea and a tiramisu tart, that was really tasty. I’m planning to come back to try their bingsu, it’s about 17,000 so more on the pricey side.
I was really pleased with the view and atmosphere of the place

Pros: Vegan and gluten-free , Atmosphere and view

Cons: A little bit pricey

So decadent!

Something completely different from usual desserts and the taste was phenomenal! Had the chocolate, raspberry one and neeeed to get more. Try these!! Can't imagine another cake place around could top them. I'd recommend taking them to go as the place isn't very comfy...

Pros: Deep and decadent flavor , Interesting flavor options

Cons: Not a very cozy place to sit in.

Loving the Bingsu

I absolutely love the vegan Bingsu here! There are several flavors of snowflake-style Bingsu based on oatmilk.

They use natural ingredients, e.g. coconut blossom sugar, natural colorants and alternatives to white flour. As a consequence, flavors and textures tend to be a little different from conventional food. Personally, I like just that!

Prices are a bit high, but they explain it by using mostly Korean-grown ingredients and many organic products.

This newest location of Panhonesta fills an entire building with several stories. You place your order on the first floor, and seats are on the second floor. There are only stairs, so it's not barrier-free at all.
Also note that the place is very popular among Koreans and you might have to wait in line to get a seat (particularly on weekends!).

Pros: good vegan Bingsu, good ingredients

Cons: pricey , smaller menu than what it used to be, very crowded location, waiting time required
