Pan Africa - Edit
I bought a groupon to Pan Africa a few months ago and recently used it. I took one of my veggie friends with me. It was really good food and really inexpensive. I like to try new things, I love lentils and curries ect. However my friend that I was with wasn't as stoked about it as I was. With the groupon that I had we each for a starter and we got a platter for us to share, plus dessert. I really enjoyed it and would recommend it.
Pros: inexpensive, lots of food, interesting new flavors
Great meal - Edit
Good food! Great location! Interesting menu options.
Pros: Tasty food, Central location
Cons: Small veg menu

Stop in after shopping at Pike Market - Edit
We were tired after walking all around the district, and looking for decent vegetarian food when we happened upon this place. I had the vegetarian ethiopian platter which was served on the ethiopian flat bread called Injera(looks like a large crepe). I can say that each entree on the platter at Pan Africa was flavourful and spiced to a medium hotness - it was nice that all the different pea and lentil dishes had flavour - some places serve yellow split peas plain. In other Ethiopian restaurants, they usually give you extra Injera on the side for you to rip and pinch your food into, as the base Injera usually gets too soaked with oil and juice from the entrees to be usable for pinching. At Pan Africa, they used less butter or oil in their cooking, and the Injera was thicker and a bit dryer, so you were able to rip pieces from your base as it didn't get too soaked from the food sitting on it - they do not give extra Injera on the side. And then you can use a fork to eat up the last bits of on your plate. We were dining late, service was fast and very friendly. My carnivorous friend enjoyed his ethiopian meat dish as well. I would give it 5 stars if the system here allowed it(4 is the max. for a non veggie restaurant)
Pros: Good quality Injera bread, excellent food, good prices
Cons: Musty smelling atmosphere

Great food, friendly servers, fun location - Edit
Pan Africa has great food - not too spicy for most of us, and spicy enough to wake up our taste buds. The atmosphere is light and airy. The servers are wonderful - it is well worth your time to slow down enough to chat and get to know them. For some reason I always feel happy there. The place can be jam-packed and service a little slow on the weekends, but isn't everyplace that's worth it? There are tables to eat in, but if you call in advance you can also get your food waiting for you, to go. It is the best vegetarian option you are going to find around Pike Place Market and the waterfront. So, go yourselves or bring your tourist relatives and friends. Everyone will love it.
Pros: Great food, Nice atmosphere, Location near Pike Place Market
Cons: Parking, Can be jam-packed on weekends

Slow Taste - Edit
The food is extremely tasty, the miser wot on the veggie platter is full of spice. The portions are not huge, but they're not small either. Service is slow, go with time to kick it.
Pros: Ethiopian food, Generously spiced, Reasonably priced
Cons: Slow, Not fully vegan, Pike Place location
