It was ok - Edit
They do have a couple vegan choices. The vegan chili was decent. The bread bowl is made of white flour and is not very good.

Wanted to love it- so many vegan options - Edit
I got food poising 💔. I had the vegan pasty and quinoa salad. Not sure which one did it to me. This is my fist time with food poising since I went vegan.

Got the vegan pasty and it was great. They also have a chili bowl that looked good. Lemonade is awesome here. Will definitely go again.

They were out of the vegan pasty-so got the vegan lentil chili bread bowl. They have fries and homemade chips.

Yum! - Edit
Best vegan options in the area imo. Yummy vegan pasty and lentil chilli. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is the price. $10 for a pasty with no sides, I expected it to be large, but it was quite small.

Best option for vegan food around - Edit
Really only good vegan options around Mount Rushmore. Had three options: vegan pasty ( a little Spicy for my taste but still very good), hummus wrap and vegan lentil chili bread bowl.

Good vegan food in a vegan food dessert - Edit
Veggie pastry pocket is tasty, super flaky crust and has flavor. Good food when you need it (aka South Dakota doesn’t have a lot of options). But this exists!!!! Yay!!

Vegan pasty and lentil bread bowl - Edit
The vegan pasty, with quinoa & potatoes & veggies, and the lentil bread bowl are the highlights with great seasoning. The vegan wrap was a so so pre-made wrap. Has indoor and outdoor seating. definitely recommend.

One of my favorites - Edit
I lived up here for a summer and this restaurant was heaven. I have had their vegan lentil soup and their vegan pastie. Both were excellent. A great place to go with people who eat meat.

Amazing vegan options near Mt. Rushmore! - Edit
Wife and I are in South Dakota on vacation and had time for a quick stop in Keystone. Apparently this spot just opened and it’s awesome. The man in charge was great and helpful. We are both vegan and assumed we would be eating a bag of potato chips in town here, but were we ever wrong. We shared the Vegan Pasty and some Vegan Chili. Both were outstanding. This is not a vegan spot. They are just very accommodating to everyone. Try whatever you like, but what we had was awesome!

New Veg option near Mt Rushmore - Edit
Palominos’s which just opened im Spring 2018, has several veg options (including vegan). We had a veggie pasty (pie) and lentil soup (which was a bit more of a chili). The menu also lists a yummy looking quinoa salad. No vegan desserts yet but we encouraged the owner, Scott, to consider adding those. Scott was VERY helpful and knowledgeable and checked with a couple of times on our opinion of the meal. If you’re visiting Mt. Rushmore, stop at Palominos for a vegan bite!
