Tasty vegan food with great view - Edit
The labeling is a little confusing, there is plant based and vegan. Food was tasty and the staff very friendly and helpful.

We booked a table here for my birthday and were excited to try a new place (to us) with vegan options.
Read moreWhen we arrived, no table had been reserved for us. We were told to sit anywhere, but only indoor seating was available. We asked if we could move outside once a table opened up, but the staff member refused and said we could just stand outside and wait. When asked how long it would likely be he said “I don’t know.” It felt really odd because we’d reserved several days in advance, so I’d expect better service, and I felt we’d annoyed/inconvenienced him just by turning up to eat.
His unfriendly attitude was disappointing, especially since I live in Madeira and would have returned. While the food itself was good, the experience was overshadowed by the lack of hospitality. I felt awkward being there. It felt as though, because the restaurant caters to many tourists, they assumed we were just passing through and didn’t make any effort.

The labels on the menu can be a bit confusing as they have both plant based and vegan option. The explanation is that Plant based refers to the dishes that are fully vegan by default. For what is labelled Vegan option it means they can veganize that dish by swapping the cheese with vegan cheese or the meat with tofu for example.
If you sit inside you can watch them prepare the food. Quite cool to see.
Service is very friendly, location is great.

Es gab einige vegane Optionen, jedoch war das Labeling verwirrend. Es gibt eines mit der Aufschrift "Plant Based" und eines mit "Vegan Option" was aus dem protugiesischen "vegetariano" übersetzt wird. Wir hatten den Tortilla, der wirklich sehr lecker war. Und das vegane Steak (Seitan) mit Pilzen. Die Pilze waren super gewürzt, der Seitan jedoch sehr schwammig und fad. Dafür genauso viel zahlen zu müssen, wie für die Variante mit Fleisch ist traurig. Das Hausgemachte Kombucha war wiederrum sehr lecker.

Viel Auswahl für Veganer*innen, wie man es sonst auf Madeira leider nicht kennt. Geschmacklich 10/10, allein das Brot zur Vorspeise (vegan optional) war mega mit dem veganen Aufstrich. Ein Plus war auch der selbstgemachte Kombucha. Wir kommen nochmal!

Went here for lunch and ordered curry (which was great!) and the tortilla.

We had bread (amazing!) and falafel which was good. The bowl with tofu was ok but nothing special.

Little Gem in Ponta Do Sol - Edit
I loved how the menu is clear with lots of vegan dishes or dishes with vegan option. The tofu poke bowl was a generous portion and full of goodness. If I had any advice for improvement it would be nice if it had one more ingredient, like avocado, and slightly less rice.

Es ist nicht einfach, auf Madeira ein Restaurant mit veganen Optionen zu finden – umso erfreulicher war die Entdeckung dieses Lokals! Das Restaurant bietet einige sehr gute vegane Gerichte an, die mit frischen Zutaten zubereitet werden.
Die Lage direkt am Meer sorgt für eine wunderschöne Atmosphäre, die durch das moderne und gemütliche Ambiente noch unterstrichen wird. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das freundliche und aufmerksame Personal, das sich gerne Zeit für Fragen nimmt. Ein Kellner, vermutlich der Besitzer, spricht Portugiesisch, Englisch und Deutsch, was die Kommunikation erleichtert.
Ein echter Geheimtipp für alle, die auf Madeira gut essen und gleichzeitig vegane Optionen genießen möchten!
