Build Your Own Vegan Tacos

I was glad to find a place open late with vegan options in Buffalo. The build your own taco menu is fun. Vegan options are clearly marked. You can also choose a lettuce cup as a shell option. Vegetable adds include huitacoche, which is a type of fungus that grows on corn and is considered a delicacy in Mexico, stewed mushrooms and roasted poblano peppers. We actually ordered the taco specials which happened to be vegan. Cauliflower tacos with mushrooms and other nice flavors. It took quite a while to get our order and the corn tortillas arrived cold. I would try a Deep South Taco location again though because of the festive atmosphere and interesting concept.
