Paladar Kitchen is located in a large, upscale strip shopping venue in the outer ring suburb of Cleveland. The restaurant offers vegan options reflecting lighter style including: bean soup, soft tacos, and sides like fried plantains and roasted brussel sprouts along with guacamole. Service is excellent, and staff verify ingredient content when they are not certain.

Veg-friendly and delicious - Edit
The restaurant advertises itself as accommodating to even the most particular diets, and for our part-vegan family, they came through. Vegetarian items are clearly marked on the menu and the host was very familiar with how to make sure those items could be made vegan. We had the guacamole and chips, gazpacho, hearts of palm spinach salad, grilled zucchini tacos, and curried vegetable stew, all of which were excellent. There are only two main courses that are veg (the tacos and stew). The stew is full of great veggies and is in a rich coconut curry sauce (see accompanying photo). The tacos were filling and super tasty and fresh (my preferred between the two entrees). The gazpacho is among the best I’ve ever had. By the way, our server said that the pesto sauce for the tacos was vegan and that she herself was vegan so could swear by it! The ambience is very nice and the service was very friendly. We will definitely be coming back!

Read moreHad a wonderful lunch special of zucchini tacos, with a side of fried sweet plantains, and a side order of yuka fries. By far the yuka fries stole the show. Lightly salted and creamy on the inside crunchy on the outside, these puppies are usually served with a side sauce, but it isn't vegan. Same with the plantains, that are exactly how you'd expect: sweet, juicy, and tenderly fried to golden brown. The tacos (2 in an order) were perfectly sized for lunch and very filling. With a mix of corn, zucchini, black beans, and cabbage, they are very light. A squeeze of lime juice and they hit the spot. I'm sure they could have avocado slices or some jalepeños or even some chopped up plantain inside, but they wouldn't be as light and delicious as they are as is.
Portion sizes were great, price was average. Only complaint was wait time. Normally during lunch hours a 30-45 minute turnover would be appreciated and maybe even a little pressured. Here, we're living in southern time where it takes a little over an hour. Good for a relaxing lunch with a friend, but not for one with a coworker or client on a schedule. I'm sure if asked they could speed things up, but servers were very relaxed and not rushing at all. Just something to keep in mind, but neither an upside nor downside.
