Fabulous Experience! - Edit
Had an incredible night at Pairings on our Christmas break to York. I'm a big wine fan myself, and my partner was not drinking as she is pregnant. The service is incredible, very attentive but not overbearing. I knew what kind of wines I fancied, so ordered by the glass, instead of trying the flights. All wines are clearly marked if they are vegan, and so is the food. We shared a vegan board, which was delicious, the cashew smoked cheese in particular was amazing. My partner had a couple of mocktails, tried an alcohol free wine, and a pot of tea. I was offered a taste of anything that took my fancy, without having to order a full glass, which was very good. My partner finished off with the banana and chocolate cake, which was delicious, and I a desert wine. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful, and it was an overall, great experience.

We popped in here after eating otherwise I'd have been all over those vegan platters!! But the wine was so gorgeous and everything labelled if vegan which I really appreciated. (and lots were vegan as well!)

Pairings is a great little wine bar, with an entirely vegan pairing flight.
Read moreThe plate of food is incredible, featuring hummus, tapanade, vegan cheese (which I believe is Kinda Co), bread and crackers to go with it.
With this, you also receive 3 paired wines with it, which are also all vegan. These pair so well and compliment the food incredibly well.
To say wine bars are usually not very vegan friendly, I would say pairings is the exception in this based on ones I've visited.
The food is great for vegans, and the wines are all clearly labelled so you don't feel like you're missing out on anything.
Would 100% recommend.

This restaurant was recommended by a friend and I have to say. It was excellent. The food is to die for, and the staff are amazing. We were looked after by Charles John Cornelius who is quite a character who has the ability to make you feel at home.
