A vegan burger called the tepa burger is bean-based, gluten-free, soy free. Vegans please ask about the bun. Reported open June 2024. Open Mon-Sun 8:00am-4:00pm.

Desert Dry Burger - Edit
I ordered the vegan burger and a side of tots. The burger includes lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and pickles. The patty is very dry and soft. Conversely, the tots are perfectly crispy. I appreciate a vegan option in this relatively remote location, but I would not eat this burger again.

Had an early lunch at this cafe that is on the same site as the north entrance to Petrified Forest National Park. Tasty vegan burger, friendly staff.

A Surprise In the Desert - Edit
Awesome little diner at the Petrified Forest. Vegetarian and vegan options. Real Vegetable Meat made in house from Sonoran Tepary Beans.

Can also get the meat in tacos.
In you enter the park from the North side (I-40) you can eat at the diner without paying the park entrance fee, so if you're just looking for a snack in this veggie desert, this is the spot for you!!
Pros: A surprising amount of options. Reasonably priced.
