Accommodating staff and a tasty lunch! - Edit
Visiting Lewes for lunch, we had trouble finding somewhere that wasn't either closed or only takeaway (the new vegan place wasn't on Happycow at the time!). Just round the corner from the other Thai place listed here, (which was takeaway only at lunchtimes) was Pailin. The menu was outside so we took a peep. I spotted one vegan option so as we were a bit desperate (after two failed attempts) we headed in. I asked if they did vegan options and they were most welcoming and said they could make anything on the menu vegan. There were plenty of options with tofu and I plumped for one with roasted cashews as well.
Read moreI had a delicious meal and my friend did too. My rice was a bit expensive at £4.50 but there was plenty of it.
Pros: Many (if not all) dishes can be made vegan, Open at lunchtimes for eating in, Plentiful portions
Cons: Side orders were a little pricey.
