Pahupidi Kohvik

Popped in to this little place with a friend after reading about it here. The place was disconcertingly empty at 5pm, but that gave us a free choice of tables. The place is pretty with nice decor. We ordered several plates, which turned out to be too much for the two of us, although we did a good job of it! The raw spring rolls were crunchy and delicious. The vegetable fries were quite oily, but very tasty, especially with the dipping sauce. We shared the mushroom pizza, which was very nice, and finally ate most of the shepherds pie, which was also well-seasoned and tasty. Coffee was good, as was the chai. Unfortunately after all that, we did not have room for dessert, although the cakes looked tempting! Would happily return to try some more items from the menu, but this time leave room for dessert.

Everything is vegan and gluten free, including the beer.
We had two different dishes both very tasty and obviously made with love.
Only for this place alone Tartu is worth a visit.

Cafe is in the heart of the old town of Tartu, a bit around the corner, but easy to find. Environment is cozy and cute. They have tasty food and very good smoothies. They have also daily lunch menu.
