2023: this locations is just a bakery, they don’t offer any meals any more. Tried the hot dog and the bola and both were delicious

This place is insane! Best snack-bar ever - Edit
I was told for years that I should visit this place but I am not usually in Gaia! However me and my omni partner were close by so we decided to go and OMG, the food was out of this world! Some of the best vegan meats I had in ages! The cachorro and the Chourica were to die for and my partner couldn’t tell it wasn’t real meat! So bloody good and everything we had was delicious! The staff was mega friendly too and we can’t wait to go back!

Foi a minha primeira vez em um café com pastelaria típica portuguesa em que não tive de perguntar se continha ovos, manteiga ou se usavam margarina! Muito obrigada por esta experiência 🙏 brioches deliciosos, merenda também! A francesinha também muito boa (embora tenha sido a 1a vez que provei qualquer uma, portanto sem termo de comparação) e a sopa deliciosa!

Não são um espaço vegan, no mínimo vendem leite de vaca (e também tabaco que é testado em animais, mas nem vou por aí)...

À chegada, espaço ruidoso de homens a tomar cerveja e a fumar à entrada.
Tive que esperar 25 minutos para que me fizessem o almoço pois a pessoa que conseguia fazer um cachorro não estava na loja.
Não tinham pão de cachorro.
Sinceramente... falta de higiene durante o processo de confecção. O senhor chegou da rua e apenas passou as mãos por água, com as quais depois pegou na salsicha e restantes ingredientes.
Foi 9€, primeiro achei caro mas depois, ao ver que o cachorro mais parecia uma francesinha, não achei - não é o que eu pedi.
Principalmente por se denominarem vegan e não serem, não voltarei a consumir.
Cons: Não são vegan! Vendem leite de vaca...

The donuts we got were good, But the main food wasnt good at all. The staf didnt speak english so it was hard to order But eventually they made us food to go. After opening the box, we were really dissapointed. The burger was soggy, salad seemed old and everything (salad/fries/seitan)was sour. I would not pay half of the price for this food Sorry.

It’s hard to believe this place is all vegan, we were astonished and very happy about Padoca, the service is great. We were happy to discover a vegan place that is not too « stylish » as the rest of Porto’s vegan place, it was more local, we didn’t feel like we were in a tourist place. Easy to park around the corner. Best pastel we tried in Porto !

I’ve been traveling Portugal and there’s not much vegan food here (almost none at all) unless you’re in Porto or Lisbon and the Portuguese don’t eat vegetable so when I found this place through happy cow I was beyond excited! Most of the places listed here are close for Covid and I had been eating dry crackers for 2 days.

When I arrive the staff was soooooo friendly, got me a green Jove (hallelujah!!), a burger and soup! It was all super delicious and I bought some little cakes to go so I could have food the next day (nothing is open here on Sundays!) I’m so grateful for this place!

Es war wirklich alles unglaublich lecker! Bei der ganzen Auswahl hat es erstmal sehr lange gedauert, mich zu entscheiden. Alles was ich gegessen habe, hat sehr geschmeckt und der Service war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.

Für mich ist dieses Restaurant ein Geheimtipp!

Amazing little cafe! Unfortunately we are just passing through this area. Otherwise I would go back again and again. Delicious vegan food and friendly people. We had a little trouble communicating but we figured it out and they were very patient. Highly recommend!
