We come to the market solely for this pad thai

The owner is adorable and the pad thai is so yummy. Ask for no egg to make vegan

Mind Blowing Pad Thai

This Pad Thai is mind blowing - it’s so good - it’s worth the boat ride and bike trek to the market just to get! This is my husband’s favorite Pad Thai he’s ever had.

Pros: So good

Cons: Bit of a trek

Amazing authentic pad thai

The lady who owns this stall, Wanida, is super friendly and will make you a fresh vegetarian pad thai on the spot. She uses mushrooms as the basis. She makes her own pad thai sauce from scratch which is vegan. She’ll ask you if you can eat eggs in case you’re vegan.

Before she wraps it up for you, she’ll ask you to season it yourself with peanuts, chilli flakes and sesame. The chilli flakes are really hot, so beware!

The only drawback with this stall is it’s in the busy Bang Nam Phueng Floating Market in Bangkrachao. It’s a day trip where you take the boat across the river from Bangkok to a designated bike hire place, then you can cycle the few kilometres to the market.

The main market, excluding offshoots, is in a square shape, so just follow the main square around and look out for her stall. If you show the photo I uploaded, some other vendors might point you in the right direction.

The best thing is she only charges 50 baht for a very generous portion. Happy eating! :)
