Vegan Desserts! - Edit
Located in beautiful Antigonish, Pacha Mamma is a cute little vegetarian cafe that offers homemade vegan desserts, smoothies, hot and cold drinks, gelato and a daily lunch special.
Read moreEverything they serve and make is actually vegan but they do offer dairy milk and honey that can be added to drinks.
Their dessert display looks so good I can't promise you won't drool. When I visited they had chocolate cake, multiple kinds of truffles, energy bars and brownies. I tried the energy bar and it was simply divine.
The woman working (possibly owner) was very chatty and friendly. I loved the artwork on the walls and they had a wall of tea products for sale.
Definitely will stop in again if I'm up that way.

Vegan Oasis with Great Lunch Special and Smoothies - Edit
A nice little eatery with a welcoming atmosphere and a small terrasse with tables right out front that is shared with the smoothie place next door.
Read moreI had the lunch special, a "taco bowl" that day, which was really good, blue tortilla chips and salsa over vegetables on a bed of rice. Spicy. The smoothie was excellent. Service is cheerful and fast.
It's worth detouring for this vegan oasis, if you are travelling through the region.
Pros: Good lunch special, Great smoothies, Excellent terrasse
Cons: Limited seating

This place is vegan-friendly. - Edit
The Pachamama says on its website:
Read morepachamama is a chocolaterie, tea and espresso bar and whole food emporium in Antigonish, Nova Scotia featuring specialty vegan food and drink, including raw organic chocolates, over 50 varieties of organic looseleaf tea, exquisite Mexican inspired espressos, smoothies and other culinary inventions.
Today I found this place with luck, because of recommendations from people in Antigonish, asking for a vegan place ( it is mentioned in the Happy Cow app as vegetarian - this should be changed ). A very nice place with a veranda to sit outside and very friendly service. They offer all the on the website named specialities and a daily vegan lunch -dish.

Fantastic! - Edit
We stopped here during an east coast road trip, it was so good we had to stop again on our way home. Friendly service, delicious truffles, frappa's and the gelato - definitely try the gelato. A must stop if you are in the area.
