Favourite place in Chiang Mai - Edit
They offer many classic Thai dishes with plant based meat alternatives. The prices are super low and the food tastes delicious. They also offer free water and have a small store for vegan products. Highly recommend!

Best restaurant since months - Edit
Went there 5 nights in a row. The food is extra cheap, almost everything is priced at 60 bath, and the portions are large and very good. So good we took two plates each very time. There is a free salad bar where you can help yourself. Lots of fake meat that are actually good.
Read moreThe pad Thai is good and the Khow soi is amazing, with the best fake chicken I ever had. There is a separate vegan menu but not all items are listed so look at the vegetarian menu and the ones on the wall. Always precise no eggs, especially when ordering Shan food. Some of the food might be a bit spicy, even if it is not labeled as so.
Lots of local and we met a lot of tourists that were coming again every day so very good spot. Might be a bit busy but we never had issue getting a table.
Pros: Very tasty, Cheap and large portions, Free salad bar

I loved how flavourful it was, I had the Khao SOI and it was amazing. It was so cheap, compared to some other veg places in Chiang Mai. Can't wait to go and try new items

No frills local vegetarian eatery where almost everything is vegan or can be made vegan by taking out the eggs.

Waanzinnig goed - Edit
Dit is een absolute top plek in Chiang mai. Ik ben hier 4 keer geweest en elke keer was heerlijk voor een zeer schappelijke prijs. Snelle bediening, goede porties en een free salad bar. Grote aanrader.

Good menu with vegan meats - Edit
Kitchen/canteen vibe, chilled out, ordered vegan chicken and rice, it came with some spicy dressings and you’re allowed to take from the salad section at the counter. Not luxury but a good, varied menu.

Tasty and great value - Edit
Large separate vegan menu. Super reasonable prices for tasty meals. Vegan ‘meat’ options. We had morning glory with vegan pork, long beans with vegan pork and red pork with rice plus an extra rice for 2 of us (one very hungry!) - portions not large - but was still under 200 baht all up.

Tasty Khoa Soi! - Edit
I tried the Khoa Soi, the Burma style yellow noodles with vegan red pork & a spicy bean salad. Everything was really tasty & the prices are great here too! The menu is good for vegans, lots of choice. If you fancy some dessert after, there’s a vegan stall next door Plawann which serves delicious coconut pancakes 😎

Great food, great prices - Edit
We were really happy to have found this place. It has a mix of Shan (a type of Burmese) and Thai food. It is veggie but there are signs asking you to specify no egg if vegan, which is easy enough. The food came out really fast, was very good price and super tasty. We found the tofu gravy soup a bit weird but glad to have tried! Really enjoyed the spicy fried chickpea tofu salad though. The menu is very extensive and a little confusing but it’s fun to navigate! Free water and toppings for your food. Would recommend.

Fried chickpea is a must - Edit
The fried chickpea salad dish was life changing. This place is incredibly cheap, tasty, quick and fully vegan if you specify no eggs. I really enjoyed the fermented lettuce rice dish too 🥰

My favourite veggie place in Chiang Mai - Edit
This place is definitely worth a visit. The food is very reasonably priced and delicious. Lots of options there is now a 2 sided vegan menu but they can make most things on the vegetarian many vegan as well. Lovey Thai food with some traditional northern Thai meals. So glad I managed to find it again #Veganuary

Do not skip - Edit
Probably one of Chiang Mai’s best places for vegans. This places takes mok meats to a totally different level. Serving traditional Thai and Chinese dishes with meat substitutes that are so real in texture and flavor I had to get up and check with the staff if the food was really vegan, and it totally was! Great service, very friendly staff, and food comes out fast. Prices are ridiculously inexpensive. Complete meals are under B100. Food was so good that I forgot to take pictures

I got the fermented tea leaf salad and the fried chickpea tofu with peanut sauce. I thought both dishes were fantastic and incredibly cheap. The coconut milk with thai tea (at 25% sugar) was way too sweet for me. I would definitely come here again

We chose this place for our first meal in Chiang Mai, and we loved it!
Read moreWe had yellow noodles with vegan pork in curry soup (position 52 in the menu), pad Thai, and coconuts. All dishes were great, with lots of vegetables, not overly spicy, not oversalted, and no artificial taste. Everything was also super cheap.
I highly recommend this place.
On Google Maps, you can find it under the name Payod Shan Food.
Pros: Free water, Wide choice of dishes, Nice interior (sheltered & breezy)
Cons: None!

I was really impressed by both the food and the prices. The mock meats were great. Service was also very fast. Communication was a bit tricky due to their limited English skills but the menu had pictures so it wasnt a real issue.
