Awesome Vegan Food on Salt Spring - Edit
Tasty and delicious vegan food and one of the few (I think there are two) vegan only restaurants on Salt Spring Island. I had the BBQ Shroom Burger and my wife the No Big Dill (battered tofu with dill sauce, like a fish sandwich). Both items were absolutely delicious. The burger was a bit messy so grab a few napkins which came with tots and salad. Great coffee with either oat or almond creamer. A must stop if you live on island or are visiting during their open days from Sunday to Wednesday.

BEST VEGAN GRUB IN BC! - Edit
Honestly this food truck is incredible! By far the best vegan food we’ve had out of all the places we visited in British Colombia. I had the bbq shroom burger which was incredible and my partner had the hip-pea chickpea burger with gluten free bun (shout out for the coeliac options) which also tasted amazing. The mini hash brown type chips are also game changers! We had the raspberry iced tea which was delicious too. No room for dessert this time but will grab some next time. The owner is also super lovely!

Delicious food in a lovely setting! - Edit
We love visiting Salt Spring, but we’ve never loved the vegan options at restaurants around the island. Ox Eats Grass has delicious food and the outdoor seating is really lovely. Everything we tried hit the spot. Salt Spring finally has amazing vegan food! And it’s really close to Ganges, so it’s an easy trek if you’re in that area.

30 min walk from Ganges. Quiet with outdoor seating. Delicious food. Pulled oyster and avo-eggs were both reorders for next time. Also took cinnamon buns for the morning

We absolutely loved it. The sitting area was great, the staff were super friendly. Our two kids are picky eaters and devoured their dill tofu sandwiches. Everything was delicious and we are trying to figure out how many times we can go back before we head back home! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This is some of the best food available on SSI! The food is amazing, the setting is beautiful, the staff are wonderful. Their homemade lentil burger was to die for and hubby and daughter had the mushroom ‘chicken’ which was a special that day. And you HAVE to try the cinnamon buns on Sundays. What a treat!!

Don’t miss Ox Eats Grass if you are on Salt Spring! It’s super cute and the food was absolutely delicious. We had a dill tofu sandwich and loaded tater tots and waffles with chicken and everybody was really happy with their food. We also sat at the tables and wrapped ourselves in the fuzzy blankets they had out. A wonderful evening. Just be sure to check their IG for hours.

This food truck has absolutely delicious food and amazing service! Very well made vegan comfort food, with quality ingredients. Beautiful spot with outdoor and covered eating areas. Definitely worth the ferry trip to visit (if you do not live on Salt Spring).
