O'Vrakas Taverna

Even though there is no vegan menu yet (coming this spring), owner finds ways to surprise you with a veganized option. I am visiting this restaurant now for two years, and I believe me and my friends helped him grow into vegan scene. The result is outstanding. This restaurant is a go to place on Cyprus & in spring it will be even better.
Food is very good and staff is extremely friendly (staff also understands the word vegan - and that means a lot to me & they know that cheese, butter and that most stock cubes contain milk or even meat - and all of that is not vegan).

Well established Traditional Restaurant set in an enviable position in Pissouri village square. Already an established restaurant serving vegan food but also serve an extensive menu to keep everyone happy all served by the owner Haris and his delightful staff.

I've been to O'vrakas on a few occasions and each time they were able to create a vegan dish without prior notice, really understanding the requirements of a vegan diet.

I went between Christmas and new year giving prior notice, the owner had arranged a delicious tomato soup for starter, an avocado pasta dish for main and a vegan cheesecake made from tofu for dessert! The veggies and meat eaters tried it and all loved it!

O'vrakas is closed during the off season but the owner advised that he will be returning in March with a vegan (and gluten free) menu due to its popularity.

As far as I know this will be the only restaurant in the area with a dedicated vegan menu.

In addition to the great food the staff are friendly and helpful and really understand veganism.
