Tasty and Filling!

I had a great vegan lunch a few days ago at Ovo - Simply Veggie. When I went in I had no idea what the menu was like, and quickly found myself faced with the task of choosing a protein and sauce from lengthy lists. On the spot I just picked the first two I saw - soy protein and ginger soy sauce. The result was great, my food was really filling and tasty. The sauce had a very satisfying flavor. Because of my impulsive ordering and happy result, I wonder if you can order wrong here. I'll definitely be back to try other combinations!

The people working behind the counter and delivering food to tables were friendly and the price was very reasonable. I had a big lunch of stir fry and rice (with water for a drink) for around $8. Highly recommended if you are in the area!

Pros: Delicious Food, Friendly Service, Reasonable Prices

Delicious stir-fry

My husband and I had a fantastic meal at Ovo-Veg in College Park. They have yummy, healthy stir-fry with either all veggies (choice of four different veggies), different entrees with tofu or mushroom protein. Ovo-Veg has the option of getting brown rice with the stir-fry, which is a nice bonus. The folks working here are kind and helpful, and the prices are reasonable. I definitely recommend their giant shitaki mushroom appetizer... so good.

Pros: Memorable, delicious food, many vegan options, friendly staff

Cons: meter parking

As good as anticipated after reading good reviews

Food: 8. Pretty tasty! I got one of the entrees that comes with rice and the spring rolls. I tasted my friend's entree and jicama rolls, and that stuff was good, too. I liked the organic, agave-sweetened sodas.

Prices: 8. You get a lot of food for a pretty good price!

Atmosphere: 7. Clean and comfortable, but I felt the space could use some more color and decorations.

Staff: 6. Not exactly unfriendly, but not particularly friendly either. The woman at the counter seemed like she was just going through the motions of the job.

Only complaints: parking seems a bit tricky in the area, and we parked in the lot across the street (a shopping plaza). Also, the woman working there told us that the sauce for the special fries they have is made with eggs, so it was disappointing to learn that the place is vegan except for one thing... why not just find a different recipe for the one non-vegan item?!

Pros: Nearly all vegan, Tasty food, Reasonable prices

Cons: Parking in the area is sometimes hard, One non-vegan item

Unique vegan menu

Ovo has unique vegan options that you can't find at most places, like mushroom meat, dumplings, seaweed yuba, and agave-sweetened sodas. Prices are very reasonable. Atmosphere is clean and relaxing. Great option overall. I just wish they were closer to downtown DC.

Pros: unique vegan options, reasonable prices, relaxing atmosphere

Cons: parking, distance from DC

Excellent!! A must visit!!!

First vegan restaurant in College Park area - and it is fantastic!!! All vegan menu, Asian style food. Soy protein, tofu, mushroom protein dishes with a variety of delicious flavors and sauces. Also several soups and appetizers. Organic agave natural sodas and a large selection of teas. Casual but nice modern look, dine in or take out. Can't recommend highly enough!!

Pros: outstanding, flavorful food, large vegan menu, nice modern look
