Outpost Natural Foods - E Capitol Dr

We've been shopping at the Outpost for a very long time and just love it. They have all the vegan staples you need along with such great produce. A lot of the food they carry is local, the prices are decent, the staff is wonderful and best of all we're able to eat mostly organic when we shop there. We're very happy that they keep expanding!

Their Joeys fabulous tofu steak sandwich might just be the best vegan sandwich I have ever had. They have a vegan pumpkin pie around the holidays

We rely on Outpost! The store carries a full range of produce, canned, frozen, dairy and non-dairy, and all other foods you would expect in a high quality grocery store ... it just happens to include excellent vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and other healthful options. Plus, you'll find an extensive selection of wine and beer, a deli with outstanding vegan and vegetarian options (our favorite is Joe's Famous Tofu Steak sandwich on ciabatta) that you can carry out or dine in. This isn't a fancy restaurant, but the food is wonderful, and we are grateful for the high quality, wide range of choices (including an abundance of local products), and the fact that the co-op has been an important part of the community for over 3 decades.

We ate in the deli and got some road trip items. they deli staff was happy to accommodate our oil-free vegan requests, but didn't realize vegan mayo was a glob of fat :) its ok we had an awesome sandwich and stocked up on kombucha for the day :) This is a really nice clean state of the art co-op
