best falafel ever - Edit
seriously the best falafel i have ever had. every time I’m in Lille i visit at least once. only downside is that it’s sometimes busy and takes a while for the food to be ready. also it’s not always open. other than that: definitely get a pita falafel wrap here if you get the chance!

Food is good but a bit pricey (7,5 € the pita falafel to take-away, with a small free makrout). The place is cute but overcrowded, resulting in looong waiting time and overwhelmed staff so service is not the best at peak attendency.

Tout est top! Du houmos a partager à la frite orientale, des pitas à tomber avec des falafels crunchy a l’extérieur et bien fondant dedans . Citronnade très bonne aussi . Produit frais . Le lieu est chaleureux et bien décoré

Delicious food. The best falafel I have ever eaten. Homemade fries and lemonade in an unusual edition (delicious and surprising). Great service. Very nice contact with the owners. I recommend it for vegetarians, vegans and more.

Good vegan falafel place ! - Edit
All the food is vegan, from the falafel to the cakes, including soup and fries, and is really good and fresh ! The restaurant is very small but cosy and nice with a warm atmosphere. There's student prices.

Un tout petit endroit très charmant, avec certes de l'attente et peu de place, mais de très bon sandwichs falafels et des frites incroyables (mais assez épicées attention). La propriétaire est très gentille et offre parfois une boisson à la datte ou des frites pour patienter. Les prix sont abordables.

Un petit restaurant. Personnel très accueillant. Des ingrédients frais et pleins de saveurs. J'ai pris une pita falafel qui est bien mais un peu trop salée pour moi. Et le citron prend le dessus sur les autres ingrédients.

Simple but very tasty/fresh arabic food - Edit
We went to Oum Falafel with a friend and spent a great moment on a table on the sidewalk (nicely decorated with some plants etc).
Read moreWe took a "galette falafel" with falafels, veggies, arabic pickles, tahini sauce and mint leaves. It was very tasty and fresh !
As a dessert, we had the oriental pastry "cornes de gazelle" filed with almond and flavored with orange flower water. It was also very tasty.
If you take away or are a student, there is a reduced price (5€50 and 5€ instead of 7€ if i correctly remember). Everything is vegan, the location is great (rue Gambetta) and the staff is very friendly. The place is nicely decorated and some interesting books are available in the restaurant (on permaculture etc).
We will definitely come back to taste the "hummus", the "oriental fries" and of course the mint tea.

after being a food truck, oum falafel just opened a restaurant ! The food was very nice so this restaurant promise to be great as well !
