Billy Joel would be proud - Edit
Yumbo jumbo 3000. We had a glass of red, a glass of white, the vegan cheesy garlic bread, and shared the VP3 (spinach fettuccine capsicum, and sundried tomato pesto with broccoli, mushroom, and garlic). They also have vegan desserts (currently a snickers with ice cream or choc orange plus lemon sorbet). Alas, too chockablock were our tums tonight. Lovely atmosphere, cool seats (romantic booths) and the folks there were sweethearts.

Best vegan pasta - Edit
Really impressed to see a seperate vegan menu and with so many options.
Read moreI ordered the Spinach Fetttucine with a pea and walnut pesto and garlic bread. Both were delicious, the crunchy ciabatta garlic bread was dripping with garlic butter and the pasta was outstanding, one of the best pasta dishes I’ve ever had. My compliments and gratitude to the chef, you can just taste that his food is home made and authentic. Also had a nice smooth Cloud St Shiraz which was vegan friendly. They offer two delicious sounding desserts which I was too full to try but will definitely be back when I’m next in Hobart. The chef and the waitress were both lovely and friendly, great service. Could not fault this restaurant.

Lots of Options, But A Bit Disappointed - Edit
This restaurant gets points for its extensive vegan menu, which is great to see! The pizzas were priced fairly, and the staff were very friendly and offered great service.
Read moreHowever, I was a little disappointed to find that, considering they are marketed as a traditional Italian restaurant, many of the vegan options were non-traditional.
I tried the V1 (zucchini, artichoke, mushroom, onion, jalapeño, sun-dried tomato, with added vegan cheese) and V2 (potato, onion, leek) pizzas. The V1 was alright, but I found the V2 to be a little dry and not super flavourful. Maybe they were just not for me!
I appreciate that lots of effort has gone into the vegan menu, so I would love to see some more authentic pizzas make their way onto what appears to be a growing menu.

Vegan pasta and vegan pizza!!! So many options! - Edit
So many options. About 7 different fully vegan pastas and pizza! We had the cauliflower bbq pizza which was more on the thick side but still really good! Staff was really nice!!! Serving size is pretty generous. If you’re really hungry, go for the bigger size for both!

Amazing vegan menu - Edit
Ottimo was amazing, 5 stars if I could. They have a separate vegan menu that includes both pizza and pasta. Food was so delicious and the options were plentiful and interesting. If I lived here, I would come back again and again. The staff are super friendly and they were very helpful when travelling with a child too. They made sure we were well looked after.

Vegan pastas, pizzas and more - Edit
Absolutely amazing! The service was friendly and welcoming, and the chef’s handmade vegan pasta creations were outstanding. So many delicious options – the best vegan Italian I’ve ever had! It’s a shame it’s not in Melbourne. If you’re vegan, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended – I’ll definitely be back!

More vegan friendly than you’d expect! - Edit
From just walking past you’d think this was a sort of traditional Italian place full of meat and seafood. Don’t get me wrong, it is, but they have a full vegan menu available, with 6 or 7 pizzas and a similar number of pastas available that are fully vegan. There’s a nut-based dried Parmesan available as standard, or you can upgrade to a vegan mozzarella.

Friendly staff, separate vegan pizza & pasta menu with vegan cheeses and meats. Pizza was lovely. Look forward to going back. I added the vegan chicken as an optional extra. It would be nice to see some vegan pizza options with the vegan meats added to the menu, because they are yummy!

Amazing pasta - Edit
Ottimo has a separate vegan menu, which offers 7 vegan pastas and around 7 vegan pizzas. The food is delicious, especially the pasta☺️ The pasta costs $20 or so, and is a generous serve. Have ordered here many times and never had an issue with cross contamination; staff are always respectful and the food is perfect.
