More vegan friendly than you’d expect! - Edit
From just walking past you’d think this was a sort of traditional Italian place full of meat and seafood. Don’t get me wrong, it is, but they have a full vegan menu available, with 6 or 7 pizzas and a similar number of pastas available that are fully vegan. There’s a nut-based dried Parmesan available as standard, or you can upgrade to a vegan mozzarella.

We had the pumpkin base pizza and meatball pasta.
Read morePizza felt like it needed an extra something to be very good! Pasta was delicious tho.
We both enjoyed our meal there and service was nice as well. Would visit again!

This place has a separate vegan menu for pasta and pizza with heaps of options! Had the V4 pumpkin, zucchini and mushroom pizza which has a thick bready crust so good it sent me into a food coma so deep I couldn’t drive home

Friendly staff, separate vegan pizza & pasta menu with vegan cheeses and meats. Pizza was lovely. Look forward to going back. I added the vegan chicken as an optional extra. It would be nice to see some vegan pizza options with the vegan meats added to the menu, because they are yummy!

Ottimo has a separate vegan menu, which offers 7 vegan pastas and around 7 vegan pizzas. The food is delicious, especially the pasta☺️ The pasta costs $20 or so, and is a generous serve. Have ordered here many times and never had an issue with cross contamination; staff are always respectful and the food is perfect.

Lovely place..cozy on a cold winter. Amazing Italian vegan options. Ordered the Lentils Bolognese, Hummus sundried tomato red onion mushrooms pizza and a pasta - Spirali sauteed with garlic, pine nuts, Basil pesto, fresh chilly, broccoli mushrooms and olives.

I never ate in an Italian restaurant before with seven vegan pastas and seven vegan pizzas! We tried a vegan pasta Alfreddo (with homemade vegan Parmesan) tonight, which was great! As dessert we had an excellent vegan lemon sorbet ice-cream.We will be back to try a pizza.

Read moreIn a part of Australia bereft of good Vegan cuisine, Ottimo delivers! They aren't just after the quick tourist buck. They hand make their pasta (vegan) each day, and also make in-house vegan parmesan. It seems their vegan options continue to grow, based on previous reviews. Support a restaurant that is really making an effort, especially in a cuisine-class that often gets on the "vegan" bandwagon by offering only starch with pasta sauce or olive oil. We found the dishes nourishing and delicious.

We bought 3 pizzas and 3 pastas and all was nice. In particular thee pasta.
We now have a go to pasta restaurant.

This restaurant is so lovely! The food is so filling (my partner and I eat a lot!) not to mention how yummy it was! So many vegan/veg options it was hard to pick. The owner had so much time for us, being from out of town this made our experience so enjoyable.

Ottimo is run by a really friendly guy named John and his food is awesome. I was so happy to see a vegan menu which included 7 pizzas, and 7 pasta and some starters. The bread used for the bruschetta was the best I've tasted in years. Literally. Hope I have time to go back before I leave Hobart.
