Good concept, execution needs work

Mushroom burgers were good but if it's so eco-friendly shouldn't more of the food be vegan? Some of the vegan options (including espresso apparently!) had run out even though the place was almost deserted at 8.30 on a Thursday evening (but perhaps it was busier earlier on).

I know the packaging is recycled and recyclable but even so it seems a bit wasteful to use so much for eat-ins - even Pret a Manger are more careful about giving out extra napkins and if I wanted salt and pepper I would ask for it. I asked to have my cake on one of the unneeded napkins instead of swathed in paper, but the assistant said they weren't allowed to.

I found the labelling of the bins confusing (for example the thing for paper and food says something like "no recyclable items" on it, meaning apparently that you are supposed to put recyclable plastic bottles in a separate hole).

Despite helpful staff, the atmosphere was far from convivial, as the decor is kind of sterile (nice baskets on the wall though). But I expect it is more fun when it's busier, maybe lunchtime?

Pros: Friendly staff, Good aspirations, Convenient

Cons: Limited vegan options, Packaging, Coca cola machine WTF?

Decent fast food but terrible soft drinks choice

Decided to give this place a visit and was initially disappointed by the lack of vegan dishes, less than a third of the menu is vegan (and only one dessert, a rather average chocolate cake) and, as this place prides itself on its 'carbon/eco friendliness' then logically it should be all vegan. The foods we tried, Spicy Noodles and a Field Mushroom Burger, were tasty, though the burger bun seemed rather stale. The fries were average but the portion was miniscule and very expensive at £2.25 for around ten fries!! I still would have given this place four stars but the drinks available are shocking, no fruit juice and, apart from water, just 'Coca-Cola' manufactures soft drinks!! This in a place that claims to care for the planet is just wrong and until this is changed this place is really just a mockery of what it claims to stand for. There are hot drinks but I didn't try them as others had already told me they have no soya milk.
To recap the food is fine but expensive for what it is and something must be done about the soft drinks.

Pros: Location, Clean, Tasty food

Cons: Limited Vegan Option, 'Coca-cola' brand soft drinks only, Small portions

Tasty lunch

We tried this new place on its second day of trading, 20th Aug. Opening offer of 15% discount on combo meals which was welcome as some dishes slightly on the pricey side. Went for tex mex burger - very tasty, and my other half had Biryani - not quite as the photo on their website, and quite spicey but tasty all the same. Puds are brilliant, I also got to sample the chocolate mousse which was amazing. Would prefer it if they served Whole Earth organic fizzy drinks rather than than the usual Sprite etc. Service was a bit slow but will forgive them as it's all new and they were trying to get out loads of sample food to passers by outside. Would definitely go back as lots to get through on the menu!
