I first visited in June 2025, before they were marked as fully vegan, and they said all pastries were vegan, which was nice. They also mentioned that one of the staff members was vegan, so it felt safe to eat here.
Read moreFunny enough, the second time I visited for their celebration of 2 years being open (I did not aim for it), and the place was full! The only minus on the Big Day: no more pastries were left to take.
Generally speaking, people here can do whatever they like: sit and chat with friends, read manga, or just enjoy their cookie with matcha. The place feels welcoming for all kinds of nerds.
I think it's a smart idea to serve plant-based pastries and drinks for the large community outside of the vegan bubble, good way of advocating for veganism.

Great place for a quick stop in Orléan! They have a really friendly staff with a nice atmosphere. The croffles and the crookies were great. The inside was really cozy with all the manga and anime.

De passage à Orléans, café végétal découvert ce jour. Le personnel est accueillant et très sympathique. Le cadre et l'ambiance sont vraiment agréables (qu'on aime ou non la culture manga), c'est très cosy.

In a country where buying a block of tofu seems impossible, otaku cafe is truly a breath of fresh air! Lovely waffle pressed croissants with delicious toppings! They also offer some non-vegan options so be sure to ask (staf speaks english!). They also had a delicious daily special. The mangas are mostly french but you can read as much as you like. Great coffee also! Overall definitely drop by and get a croffle!!

I am currently visiting France and am overall quite disappointed with the vegan options in France. But in this vegan dessert, the Otaku Café is a wonderfull vegan oasis.
Read moreThe croffles are very delicious, the café itself is cozy and the staff is very nice and helpful. I felt very welcomed here.
If you are interested in Mangas, there is a very big collection to choose from to read. But even if you don't have any interest in Mangas, like me, the café makes for a great visit!
