Outstanding meal! - Edit
Finally got to visit and enjoy the delicious food at Osteria Du though sad that it will be permanently closing in two days.
Read moreMy friends and I decided to try out the prix fixe meal ( which was offered despite not being Friday-Sunday) which made me happy as was torn between selecting a pizza or the eggplant parmigiana. Fortunately got to try both! We were served a deliciously simple amuse bouche followed by the appetizer fritto fungi which we all ordered. Tasty! My friend and I shared a Mango Melazane pizza ( had never tried mango on a pizza but the combo of spicy mango, grilled eggplant and cashew crema was divine!) and the others in our party ordered ricotra amifucato pizza so that we could all try both of them!
For the pasta dish, I ordered the eggplant parmigiana which was truly sublime ( and highly recommended by our server) and so flavourful! For dessert, the tiramisu was delicious and so creamy! All portions were good sized and one didn’t feel hungry nor stuffed just satisfied. I decided to try a refreshing non alcoholic drink with pomegranate syrup, bitters, sparkling water called Power of Du. From start to finish, the dining experience was positive, memorable and oh so delicious! Glad I got to experience it even if it was only once!

Went here for my partner's birthday and had a group of 11 people. We were well accommodated and taken care of. My partner and I split the prezzo fisso (prix fixe) option. We had the Fritto Funghi, Ricotta Afumicatto, Wild Mushroom Ravioli, Eggplant Parmigiana, Tiramisu, and Torta Speziata. The portion sizes were great and we both left feeling very full! Sad to know they are closing at the end of September because Osteria Du is a phenomenal restaurant!

Get the mushroom ravioli! - Edit
We ordered the Canadian pizza (pepperoni and mince) and the mushroom ravioli. The ravioli was so flavorful and rich. The pizza was good but light on the dough and toppings for $20 (plus tax and service charge). Lovely atmosphere, music, and service. Get in while you can -- they're closing soon 😞

Husband and I had an excellent experience. People were friendly, the food came out relatively quickly. Everything was delicious! I would definitely recommend. The only thing I would do differently is eat inside. The outside dining was on the sidewalk and there was a lot of traffic noise, but that isn’t the fault of the restaurant.

We went with some pre-vegans and had an amazing experience. The atmosphere was phenomenal. Service was quick- we got the 4 course meal and wine pairing.

Super impressed by Osteria Du. The service, atmosphere and food exceeded expectations. We did the tasting menu. Everything was delicious. The pizza was especially outstanding. My husband is Italian (vegan for last 3 years) and he was impressed. That for me says it all! Can’t wait to return.

I’ve always had good experiences here. Love the pizza. During lockdowns they had a take home menu that was thoughtful and delicious - we had a Valentine’s multi course heat and eat meal that was such a nice treat when restaurants were closed. When restaurants reopened they had partitions between tables. It felt safe and didn’t detract from a great restaurant experience. Loved the brunch and they do non-alcoholic cocktails well.

The food was so tasty. We got the tasting menu so we got try appetizers, pizza, and pasta dishes. The GF pizza crust was so good. They also had a delicious GF spice cake for dessert. There are fun drinks, including mocktails and non-alcoholic sparkling rose.

In my top 3 favourite vegan restaurants (Toronto) - Edit
I am so glad that I finally tried this restaurant. It is fine dining, so the plates are on the small side, and it is on the expensive side, but I really think it's worth the price. It was hands down the highest quality food I've had in Toronto. It was so fresh and flavourful, they must have fantastic sourcing partners. I will absolutely be taking others here for special occasions, especially those who are not vegan. I can't wait to go back!

We took the easy route and had the 4-course prix fixe menu. For that we got two apps, one pizza to share, two pasta dishes, and two desserts. A pretty good deal for $50 per person. Everything we had was delicious. I was a little wary prior to coming in that, this being Italian food, they'd go very heavy on the vegan cheeses, which I'm not totally a fan of. But to my surprise the food was much lighter than I'd expected and the portions were perfectly sized. Ambiance was nice and staff was very friendly. Highly recommended!

I really love Osteria Du. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is great, and the staff is super friendly. The only reason why I'm giving 4 stars is because my pizza expectations are very high! Was still very delicious and I highly recommend everyone to go and enjoy. The caesar salad and fried mushroom appetizers are particularly good 🤤

Entirely vegan restaurant with gluten free options. They also have a vegan gelato bar called M!lk with a bunch of different flavours. A little on the pricey side but nothing too wild for both takeout and a nice sit down dinner. The takeout menu is different than the sitdown menu so make sure to plan ahead. I ate everything too fast to take photos and the pizza is excellent. Make sure to reserve sit down ahead online

My mouth waters just thinking about the food they have at Osteria Du. The service is also unbelievably great. They treat you as if you're the only patron in the restaurant.

Osteria Du offers a prix fix 4 course menu only. However, you get 2 to 4 choices per course (something like 10 choices for the pizza course). The atmosphere is clean, sophisticated, floral and modern. A great place to go for a date! Each booth has its own air purifier, so if you're concerned about COVID I would say Osteria Du is definitely taking all necessary precautions.
