I had the Black Bean Burrito, it had more salsa inside than rice and black beans.

Good food and service - Edit
It's not the BEST Mexican food but it's pretty good. The black bean burrito was good and if you're fine with fried good, the chimichanga was a treat. Service was good too.

Delicious options! - Edit
Amazing customer service! The vegetable enchiladas with green chili sauce were incredible! We also had the veggie chimichunga which was a great treat for us! The black beans and rice were also delicious! The server that took our order was VERY well educated on the vegan options and what it actually means. Thank you for having vegan options! @A_Vegan_Ray_Of_Sunshine

Several Vegan options/also pricey - Edit
Nice little spot close to Zion National Park. Stopped here after a hike. I got the Portabella/Avocado sandwich on a Spelt flour bun. Pickle on the side w Sweet potato fries. Definitely let them know your Vegan, this is the kind of place that may try and slip animal cheese in on ya if you don’t ask for the vegan option.

Save Your Money & Go Somewhere Else - Edit
Normally I would give props to carnivore restaurants offering vegan options but in this case accolades are not deserved. The $15 vegan burrito was a bland sterile lump of tasteless beans, the fresh green salad was anything but, it was totally wilting and flaccid, the portobello mushroom sandwich was barely edible (mustard spread with mushroom? cmon). It would seem that no thought or taste tasting went into these options before they paraded them onto the menu. Small town cafe with unworthy big city pricing.

Our service was very helpful and knowledgeable about our vegan requests. The enchiladas and chimichangas were outstanding as well as the bottomless chips and salsa and guacamole

I would give 5 stars if I could. Clearly marked which dishes can be made vegan and the staff is knowledgeable. The portions are quite big, perfect after a day in the Nationalpark.

Not sure if it was the Beyond or Impossible burger (not on their website yet) but it was good! Maybe a little too enthusiastic with the mustard, but that’s personal I guess. Sweet potato fries were nice as well!

Bad Experience - Edit
I ordered the enchilada with stir fried vegetables that was labeled vegan on the menu and that the waiter assured me was vegan. A different waitperson delivered my order and the enchilada seemed to have cheese on it similar to the cheese on the orders of the two other people I was eating with. I asked the waiter if my dish was vegan and he said it was. I assumed the cheese was a vegan cheese. After I had taken two bites my original waiter came by and noticed that my order was not vegan since it had cheese on it that was not vegan since they apparently don't have a vegan cheese. He took my plate and said he would have the kitchen redo the order and that I would only be charged half price. As the two people I was with were near finishing their meal I received my order. After eating most of my meal I discovered a piece of chicken mixed in with the stir fried vegetables in my enchilada. I immediately stopped eating the rest of my meal and mentioned the piece of chicken to my waiter when he picked up my plate. He offered to remove the charge from bill but since I had eaten the rice and beans on the plate I told him that was not necessary. However, due to my experience I will not plan to eat in this restaurant again.

For Zion it’s great - Edit
Having a Vegan option in a place like Zion is amazing. Oscars has a price tag that mirrors the other restaurants in town, so don’t let that steer you away. The waitstaff on the 21st of Feb was very friendly and the waitress brought our to-go fries from our meal to the table so we could have a beer while we waited for the rest of our order. Great service. Good food and I look forward to eating here again.

Yummy food!!! - Edit
This place was awesome! Was afraid after reading the other review, but my family comes here all the time so we decided to come anyway. I ordered the Oscar's burrito with sautéed veggies and did the baked version. It is soooo big, I have to take half of it home! It was also VERY tasty. I would definitely order it in the future. Don't let looks deceive you with the side salad.. this little guy packed a pretty decent flavor punch. It was the perfect size and the vinaigrette was delicious. The chips and salsa were also wonderful. Not too spicy or wet and a proportionate size to the amount of chips served. All in all I would come here again and the food was good enough I'd order them again!

Vegan-friendly menu, but cross-contamination - Edit
We were just visiting Zion in the off-season, and Oscar's was the only restaurant on the Happy Cow list that was actually open, so we decided to give it a shot. It seemed promising as the person who seated us told us she is vegan and she showed us how dishes that can be made vegan are designated on the menu. So we ordered a vegan enchilada and a vegan burger. After only a few bits of the enchilada, my friend had the unfortunate experience of biting into a chunk of chicken. While she ran off to gag and wash her mouth out, I picked through the dish and found another small piece of chicken. I called our server over and showed him. He took the dish back and we told him we didn't want it remade since we'd lost our appetite by then. He was super apologetic and gave us the "local" discount for our burger (even though we were there with a local friend who was eating the burger, but the gesture was nice, I guess). So be warned: it seems there are problems with cross-contamination in the kitchen!
