Good but strange texture

I got the Oscar Wilde donut which was tasty but the texture was off for me. I thought I had mistakenly eaten some of the paper it was wrapped in/ some baking paper but it was just the texture of the donut! Very chewy on the bottom layer. Sunday Vegan donuts are still the winners for me 😆

Tasty donuts

Oscar wilde is a little kiosk but have a good selection of delicious donuts and beverages. The donuts are a combination of old fashioned style and raised. I loved the filling inside the pistachio donut.

Delicious donuts

Fresh, soft and tasty donuts with a slightly chewy texture. We tried the Oscar Wilde flavour (my favourite), seasonal mango almond cream, pistachio and the mizu flavour (this one just tasted like a sugar donut, still tasty though). I will definitely come back whenever I'm in Tokyo next.

Pros: Delicious donuts, Located right near the station, Nice staff

普通

期待しすぎたのかあまり好みのドーナツではなかった。オールドファッション系はサクサクしすぎてもはやクッキー。イースト系はパサパサしてて生地が微妙だった。見た目はいいけど少し残念。

Delicious donuts, amazing curry pan!

This small donut shop and its sister restaurant are the product of the chef of the Michelin star restaurant Daigo which specializes in Shōjin (Japanese Buddhist vegetarian cuisine).
The chef wants to promote veganism and has multiple ventures, including this donut shop.
The donuts are really good, we tried the Oscar Wilde (with orange blossom) and the seasonal donut which in November was a winter spice donut and both were great.
But the star was the curry donut, which is basically a curry pan (curry bread) which is very difficult to find vegan in Japan. It's warm and crispy and just amazing!

Cute donuts!

Finally checked out this adorable spot! The deep-fried donuts were delicious and super cute. You can enjoy them in the TOSSO dining area.

Yumm

I only tried the vanilla pop donut, but it was really good. A little pricey but I’d definitely come back to try their other offerings. Everything looks so good, it’s so hard to choose!

*The literary snob in me feels compelled to mention that this shop got its name from the quote, “THE OPTIMIST SEES THE DONUT, THE PESSIMIST SEES THE HOLE.” It’s often attributed to the brilliant writer Oscar Wilde, but there’s no evidence that he ever actually said it…

Incredible Donuts

Another all vegan donut shop in Tokyo! Yay!!
We got the curry bread, pistachio cream donut, mizu-buro donut, and the chocolate fashioned. The curry bread was phenomenal! So crispy and fresh, and a little warm, just perfection! The pistachio cream flavor was a little lost in the sweetness of the dough, but on its own, it was quite nice and very fresh as well. The only donut that I wasn't that big of a fan of was the mizu-buro. It was supposed to be orange liquor flavored, but I couldn't taste anything but pure solid sugar.
We also got a lovely almond milk latte.

Fantastic donuts

I tried their curry, mizu and oscar wilde donuts and they were all incredible. The donuts are vegan and made with whole grain flour. They have a chewy and fluffy texture and all the flavors were super fresh and tasty. The donuts feel fairly light and don’t taste very oily. I would also reccommend trying the curry take-out and ramen restaurant in the same plantbased complex. I will miss these donuts when I leave Japan tonight.

Pros: The texture of the donuts, The flavor of the donuts
