Read moreOffre una cucina vegetariana, ma adattabile senza problemi a vegana, con forti influenze giapponesi (essendo la chef giapponese!).
Materie prime di ottima qualità, direttamente dall’orto situato accanto al ristorante.
Possibilità di pernottare in loco.
Ci torneremo sicuramente!

Went here a few months ago, but wanted to review it as it really is a vegan gem to find in the Italian countryside / alpine valley where it can be hard to find options. The presentation of the food is so cute💗It's a vegetarian restaurant, but since I'm vegan I asked if it was possible to make the dishes fully vegan and it was no problem. Very friendly & knowledgeable owners / chef. We had the full course ( maaaany small dishes ) and I was quite full, so I took the dessert to go😄I am attaching some pics, highlights included the pink beetroot sauce, fried pumpkin, lotus root and also the three beetroot/ saffron /spinach gnocchis😄

Wonderful gastronomic experience - Edit
This was our big spend on our European trip and well worth it. The service was very friendly and atmosphere, charming. We did have to take a taxi to/from the restaurant since it is about 4km from Tirano city, but if you can afford it, it’s well worth it. The food is all farm to table, with the vegetables/fruit coming from their own farm. Our server is the husband of Rei, the chef from Japan, who presented beautifully arranged full course meals for us. I was so full and could not even attempt the last course (I made room for dessert). While the restaurant is vegetarian, they know how to make their entire menu vegan.

Trying to find a Vegetarian/Vegan restaurant in Valtellina is quite a hard challenge, but thanks to Orterie our search is over. Very cozy and nice place, where a young Japanese Chef present a vegetarian menu (even if basically almost all dishes are Vegan) surprising and very very tasty. Most of the ingredients in the menu are from their own garden and you can consequently taste the freshness in every single course. Wide choice of wines also. Outdoor sit is available in a lovely garden. A bit pricey, but considering is the only alternative you may have in a range of kilometers, is acceptable in the end. Very satisfied.
