Great wraps

My daughter ordered me a wrap from here for Valentine’s Day. It was so good and such a blessing. I didn’t even know about this place until then.

Excellent

-quesadilla - 10/10
-Sweet potato pie - 10/10
-gumbo quinoa- 9.5/10 excellent, only note is it was maybe a bit saltier than needed to be. Would also be great to see them use something other than the plastic containers for the gumbo in the future!

Wish I lived nearby, I would come to this place all the time

Magical

Bolingo is an INCREDIBLE chef and so friendly! The food was just WOW. We got the gumbo and the jackfruit quesadilla. Both were so flavorful. Easily our best food experience in NOLA.

I'm still salivating

The staff, the FOOD, the place❤️ This is by far the best vegan food I have ever had. My husband and I were there on a vacation in June and had their better than Popeyes sandwich, pulled jackfruit slider and their chili hot dog. We went back the next day to eat some more but the place was closed because of some emergency. I have never cried that a restaurant was closed except for this one time. I'm telling ya, it's worth every tear.

OH MY! 7 months later, I'm still salivating about it!

Pros: Better than Popeyes Sandwich, The staff do so much good for the community , Chili hot dogs

Cons: A little challenging to find. We got lost a little

Amazing flavors

Got the pulled jackfruit sandwich and better than popeyes sandwich, both were great and packed with flavor but the better than popeyes was our favorite! The fried oyster mushrooms were so good. We waited about 25 minutes but I think they had a lot of orders being called in - it was definitely worth the wait.

Pros: Awesome food, super flavorful

Cons: Bit of a longer wait

Best vegan food in NOLA

This is by far the best vegan food I tried in NOLA. We shared the crunch wrap with BBQ jackfruit and the better than Popeyes sandwich with Buffalo cauliflower for the side. Both were SO good! Well worth the drive to their location. The food truck is located on the back side of the orange building.

Pros: All vegan

Delicioussssssss - go for the better than Popeyes!!! They have a bunch of options & specials. Amazing people working there and the food is amazing. The atmosphere is pretty cool too, positive vibes everywhere. Go support them! - btw the address isn’t perfect, it brings you to the back of the building and you got go around to the front(by car).

Pros: The people are awesome!, Food is cooked fresh & fast, Everything was so tasty!!!

Plant-Based Fast Food Please!

We initially started off as a herbal medicine and ancient foods online store in 2016. We decided to present this information and our resources to our community/ hometown district of New Orleans 7th Ward.

Bolingo Ashay setup one table next FrootOrleans, a freshly prepared fruit stand, on Bayou Rd at Bell Street in September of 2016. He was dedicated to providing alternative/ natural medicines and foods for the healing of our population. He was very successful in conveying data supporting his work and become known as an Herbalist.

In March 2017, Maranda Brown, his wife and business partner, decided to add vegan food to this “pop-up” by way of a traditional tabletop grill. This was an instant hit!!! Now with cooked/ prepared foods to compliment the herbs and non-perishable groceries the community was buzzing with enthusiasm to eat better and live better.

Unfortunately during that holiday season leading into 2018, a couple of local businesses contacted the authorities and had them removed for this neutral “place”. But they pushed on and continued to “pop-up” til recently when a local cookbook store, “The Kitchen Witch”, on Bayou Rd assisted in hosting them until we found the Tombar Life Center.
1683 N Claiborne Ave is the daytime location.
Jazz market on Wednesday night
Club Caribbean on Saturday night

The food is delicious and the atmosphere is great. Bolingo is so knowledgeable and charismatic. His passion is amazing. There’s much more to come than just fast food. Stay Tuned.

Pros: Excellent food , Great customer service , Community atmosphere/ various locations

Cons: Pop-up hours
