Excellent quality veg vegan gf - Edit
The only place we have found so far that uses brown rice in the gallo pinto. Everything was excellent and the portions were generous without being excessive. Organic coffee!!

Ayer fuimos a este restaurante a tomar un smoothie, y la carta nos pareció tan interesante que volvimos a cenar. Y no nos defraudó en absoluto: la comida fue deliciosa y abundante, el lugar muy agradable y la atención de la mesera excelente. Tienen muchas opciones veganas tanto en desayuno como en almuerzo, y también varios postres. Muy recomendable.

This place had so many delicious vegan options, I’m going to have to go back and try more! They have gluten-free bread options too. We tried a sandwich and a smoothie and both were great. Very cute place too, nice staff. Sandwiches are huge so don’t worry that they don’t come with a side!

The best meals in la Fortuna - Edit
We had the "Peace and Love" (quinoi patties, plantains and salad) and the Artisan Pasta. Both fantastic. The smoothies also are to die for. Service was attentive too.

I tried both the falafel sandwhich and the quinoa burger. They both come with a delicious passion fruit sauce. They tasted good but were a bit on the small side and not worth the price.

This was the best meal we had while up in the rain forest part of our trip. Lovely vibe. Healthy menu. We had the special of the day which was a platter with a fresh salad, falafel, plantains and rice and beans. Delicious. We had some great juices as well. Really cute space and the people were super nice.

We had a garden salad each, it comes with house made bread. We also had a vegan brownie, which wasn’t a brownie.. it wasn’t fresh but rather very dry bread with cacao. The next day I had banana nice-cream, I cannot explain how bad it was! :(

We were happy to find this place our first night in Costa Rica and we ate well. However, they got our order wrong and instead of fixing it, they said the kitchen was closed and my kid didn't get a meal. They also didn't tell us this, just took the dish away and never returned. If we had realized, she would have eaten the mistake, or, one of us would have and traded meals. Anyway, the kitchen closes early and they mean it! So, service, we thought was terrible, but, ya gotta eat and the food was very good.

Organico Fortuna has nice healthy menu options and a decent amount of vegan items. Our food was okay..not amazing though. The falafel sandwich was a bit dry and the smoothies were ordered were chunky as if the nuts they used were not pureed properly and were hard to sip. The staff were very friendly and nice. Unfortunately they were doing construction while we were there and the sounds of a chainsaw interrupted our meal several times. I wish that we had time to try Organico again to give it another try. It seems to have many elements of things I love in a cafe!

Went here for dinner tonight and was very happy! I got the vegan pasta, which looked like it might be bland, but was SO GOOD!! the savory sauce was delectable and the vegetables were cooked perfectly and soooo flavorfully. With nuts on top, too, yum!

I would give this place 5 stars if I could! I had the falafel sandwich. It was the best sandwich I've ever had! I also had the surprise smoothie which had a fruit called arazá in it. Last we had the vegan cheesecake! Everything was great!! The owner chatted with us a bit and was happy to make recommendations. They also have a very cute souvenir shop!

My son had the vegan pasta that he liked but there was a bit too much squash for his taste. My husband liked his falafel sandwich. The potatoes on the side were super.

A very satisfying meal that I'd have given five stars to, but the app doesn't allow for more than for, I guess because it's not exclusively vegan. Creative dishes, great vegetables, wonderful seasoning. Will be going back tomorrow!

Nice looking restaurant, clean, friendly staff, good food with vegetarian and vegan options, all organic. We were four and everyone was satisfied with the meal. It was however a bit expensive and not really vegetarian (in La Fortuna we saw few places advertised themselves as vegetarian but when we saw the menu we realised they weren't ) so after we decided to just have vegetarian "casados" (typical lunch with rice, beans, veggies, salad, plantain and a natural drink) and that was cheaper and more filling.

The warm owners and well thought out atmosphere only accent the delicious and healthy food prepared with love.
Read moreRefreshing smoothies and gluten-free options made for a satisfying breakfast, with a few treats taken home for later! Even the carnivore in our group was pleasantly surprised by the free range chicken sandwich and raved about the quality.
The shop is set up in such a way that you can shop through their selection of cosmetics, kitchen staples and tasty treats while your food is prepared.
It was nice to have such a selection of both gluten-free and vegan options after days on the road eating just beans and rice
