Top Breakfast! - Edit
Wow! This is the best breakfast I had in Costa Rica. There were so many dishes to choose from that sounded amazing, and chilaquiles were so delicious! The papaya bowl was also a hit. Loved the green smoothie, big selection of coffee drinks and plant based protein available. Bakery items were mixed, cheesecake and macadamia pie were tops but the cookie was dry (all are also GF).

Delicious Dinner with Non-vegan Friend - Edit
Perfect! Great option for a vegan/non-vegan couple or group. I had, and incredibly enjoyed, the Aztec Soup and the Tofu Skewers. Each was delicious. Great service, helpful while nonintrusive. Conveniently located. REALLY recommend any fellow vegan check out this great place.

Solid Spot With Standout Quesadilla 👍 - Edit
Really enjoyed the overall vibe here—it’s a great spot to relax and grab a meal. We tried the Buddha coffee, mushroom quesadilla, and tofu skewers.
Read moreThe Buddha coffee was very creamy and satisfying, though it could’ve used a little more sweetness to balance everything out. Just a slight adjustment would’ve made it perfect.
The standout was definitely the mushroom quesadilla. It was so flavorful, and the homemade cashew cheese really made it—rich, fresh, and not overly processed, which I always appreciate.
The tofu skewers were the only thing that fell a bit short for me. The tofu itself was a little too spongy and not crispy, but the veggies and sauce that came with it were actually really delicious and helped bring it together.
Overall, it’s a solid place with a great atmosphere and some really good options—definitely worth checking out.

Good menu of vegan options but overall lacking - Edit
This was the most expensive restaurant we went to in Costa Rica and while it did have a lot of organic, vegan options, which we appreciated, the flavor on the dishes was a little bland and it was highly overpriced for what we got. For reference, we ordered a quesadilla, nachos, 2 drinks, and 2 caramel chocolate bites, and the total came out to $82 USD.

Very expensive for just okay food - Edit
A sign on the wall next to the large covered but open-air seating area said "don't ask why healthy food is expensive, ask why other food is cheap". While I agree with this sentiment, the meal we had here was the most expensive one in Costa Rica and the food wasn't particularly good. For reference, we also asked about buying a whole cake from the bakery case for a special occasion and were quoted US$80 (not decorated or anything).
Read moreThere was a clear attempt at upgrading the dishes to be more fancy with extra sauces/sprigs in the plating, but in our case the waiter smudged those on the way over and the flavor and overall satisfaction with the food was low. While I appreciate the organic offering, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant until they focus on improving flavors and food preparation to match the high price.

Many options, great desserts - Edit
The best thing we tried was the tofu skewers, which was a big portion with lots of tofu and grilled pineapple. Both of the pastas were also good, and the passionfruit cheesecake was delicious.

Delicious vegan organic food - Edit
Absolutely love this gem in the city! All of the food tasted delicious, the staff were so kind, & there’s healthy packaged snacks to buy to take on hikes. So grateful this place exists. Went for breakfast lunch & dinner.

Gesundes leckeres Essen - Edit

Surprisingly disappointing - Edit
This was open early when other options weren’t, but I’d not visit again. A few areas of note: the hummus tasted bad here, the server didn’t understand veganism and started walking away saying “yeah no gluten got it” before I caught him, and coffee was not great.
Read moreI’d give 2 stars, but it loses another for being sneakily expensive. Definitely not worth the price imo.

Quite disappointing actually - Edit
I should have come here and read the reviews first because this place was extremely disappointing. I ordered several things and only took a bite of sip
Read moreOf all of them then left it all in the car while I went to do the hanging bridges.
The smoothie bowl- disappointing
The mushroom toast- could have been good but it was so salty that I couldn’t stand to eat it.
Smoothie- also not enjoyable.
Maybe I ordered the wrong thing so if it’s open and one of your only few options- still don’t try it 🤣
Pros: Lots of options , Affordable , Conveniently located
Cons: Subpar options

Very expensive - Edit
We went there for dinner. No aircon available so it was quite hot.
Read moreI ordered a bowl with rice, avocado, beans and veggies (chilfrio or sth like that) and thought it would be like a buddha bowl but instead it was like a stew... the nachos which were used as decoration were completely limp. Taste was good but not what I expected.
The prices are high to begin with and then they add VAT of 13% and the service fee of 10% so the final amount will be quite high for what you eventually get. Maybe it's better to eat breakfast here as those dishes were cheaper.
Cons: Quite expensive (dinner options), No aircon

I had high hopes for this restaurant due to the many great reviews. However I found the coffee (strawberry flavour) extremely bland and watered down, and the mushroom ceviche was just ok.

Great food with huge menu! - Edit
This is a brilliant place with such a huge menu. If you’re starting to get a little bored of options places with just one or two items for you, go to this place! They have tons of stuff and it’s all packed full of flavour. The falafel burrito and quesadillas were brilliant and they have an extensive drink and smoothie selection as well. The staff are also super informed and helpful when it comes to answering questions.

Most amazing vegan food in Costa Rica - Edit
Although not fully vegan the restaurant has fully plant based sections on the menu that are the dominant aspect of the fare. The food was amazing and our party had 2 appetizers, 4 entrees, 2 desserts and 3 different smoothies. It was fantastic. Waitress was knowledgeable and amazing! Highly recommend if you are in La Fortuna.
