CLOSED: Organic Farm Vang Vieng

I ate at the location in town a few times and the quality of both food and service were unpredictable. One evening the food was great and service was good, leaving our group of travelers all wanting to come back the next day. The following evening we were served mediocre food by indifferent staff. Hmmm...I guess it depends on who is in the kitchen, but definitely worth a try.

I really don't think this place should be listed on this website. There is not anything that is veg let alone Vegan about the menu at all EVERY restaurant in town offers as much if not more veg food besides street sellers.

The menu is primarily meat and animal based and the "farm" encourages the raising and killing of chickens, goats (cheese production) and silk. None of which are cruelty free or should be encouraged for truly sustainable development. There are plenty of local people selling produce in town that aren't involved with these practices Id sooner support but I dont believe they are as adept at internet marketing the way the foreign owner is.

This location is situated in town near the touristy area. It's not the same as the farm 4km away but offers the basic in asian, Loatian and westner...omelettes, burgers/sandwich, soups, pho, fried rice, smoothies, mulberry tea and the like. Asked for no MSG, not sure how compliant they were but it believe we understood each other. The service can be a little slower, it's Vang Vieng, and like all the restaurants there are family-runned, it's normal. Nice overall.
