A comedy of errors - Edit
You would think an ubereats order would be a fairly simple process but apparantly not. We ordered the vegan vine leave mezze and the vegan vegetali pizza with added vegan pepperoni and waited in anticipation for its arrival to our hotel. What arrived can only be described as a comedy of errors with no hummus in the mezze (instead I got dairy yoghurt) and the wrong pizza was sent with cooked spinach and vegan ham toppings instead of pepperoni. We contacted the cafe about the mezze and in fairness a new order was sent out fairly quickly but as good as the vine leaves and baba ghanouj were, the meal experience was ruined really. As for the pizza, we decided to keep it as we were starving but in hindsight we shouldn't have, as it was so bland. I doubt we will visit again.

Brilliant for vegans! - Edit
I went here with my partner (omni) and I was given a separate menu full of vegan options - a perfect place if you're going to eat with meat eaters and vegans mixed. I had the aubergine starter and a vegan tagine for my main. Extremely full and satisfied!

Food is pretty mediocre - Edit
The food is cheap and has an extensive vegan menu, but I do find the dishes and the flavours pretty mediocre

Always lovely service and great take-out - Edit
The vegan chicken kebab is always a winner for me, but there are plenty of authentic Moroccan vegan dishes.
Read moreOnly problem we’ve had was through delivery, I’d suggest calling or using just eat as once our order was lost and took 3 hours to arrive. However they did compensate by discounting our bill and giving us a few free extras
Pros: lots of options, lovely staff
Cons: delivery can be slow

Tastes just like Morocco - Edit
Food is time travel. The right dish with the right smell and taste can take you back in time to a place and a memory and Oranaise does exactly this to me. Having tried multiple dishes over multiple visits, it sets a very high bar and lives up to it. The dishes are packed full of flavour and authenticity - the tagine takes me back to Ouzoud Falls, the cous cous and vegetables reminds me of being sat near a river high in the Atlas Mountains and the mint tea reminds me of evenings sat on a cafe balcony overlooking the hustle and bustle of Jemma el Fna. This is the top place to go in Leeds for vegan food in my opinion. The menu has a huge selection for all (including multiple desserts, yay!) and the service is always with a smile and interesting conversation.

Nice venue but food lacked a punch - Edit
The place has wide selection of vegan choices. Only let down for me is the replacement meat dishes all use Linda McCartney style sausage and burgers. The oil from these replacements leach out and spoil nice traditional dishes. Plus dishes lack spice. The meze looks nice. Home made pitta bread would have been nice. Review based on a number of visits this year.

Biggest Vegan Menu I've Ever Seen - Edit
My house and I love Oranaise. Not only is the interior impressively cool but the food is also divine. This place is perfect for a hangover serving vegan pizzas and burgers but also a great place to treat your parents to some Moroccan cuisine when they come and visit you at uni. Their fake meats are also great alternatives with a believable texture and flavoursome taste.

Chill vibes! - Edit
Very nice place and great vegan selection. The thing I remember the most from there, is the strong smell of spices in the air. I think the kitchen is in the basement, and the smells flowing up is amazing. We ended up going there two times during our stay in Leeds, and the staff remembered us and gave us a warm welcome and a long talk about Denmark. Very recommended!

Their Vegan selection keeps growing! - Edit
This place is great. We used to get their vegan burgers take out before they had it refurbished and the owner has since extended the menu to a whole range of other amazing things, which is really awesome.

delicious but took so long!! - Edit
Came in here for lunch the other day and had to wait 50 minutes for the food!! And the restaurant wasn't even half full, so abit disappointing... However, once the food finally arrived (had the vegan mezze platter) it was super delicious, and SUCH a big potion aswell, could have fed 2 people. I was hesitant to pay £8 for one meal but I only managed half, and they let me take back everything I hadn't eaten in a box for the next day! So probably was good value for money. Overall I definately would go again, but hopefully the service would be faster next time!

Good fully Vegan Options - Edit
I have sat in an eaten at Oranaise a few times, they're really accommodating to offer alternatives and the menu is really clear on what is vegan. Teas and lemonade is great!

I have also ordered take-away from here; - Pizza; they use vegan cheese, I am not a fan of vegan cheese so it kind of ruined it for me but friends have said they love it!
- Burgers; the vegan burgers are reallllly tasty, they have a few options and are all great! Highly Recommended.
Pros: Friendly and Accomodating, Vegan Burgers, Clear Menu

Good vegan options but a bit too much salt and oil - Edit
Popped in here the other day to get some food. Staff were really friendly and helpful and there is even a dedicated vegan menu with plenty of choice. Food was tasty but I think that was mostly down to the large amount of salt and oil in the food. So overall it was OK.
