Best vegan food on Rhodes - Edit
Completely vegan and veggie menu with a huge range of dishes for all times of the day. The salads are great but you MUST try their vegan feta. Their home made drinks are worth a try too, we had the lemonade. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Highly recommended.

Mostly excellent food - Edit
When you look on HappyCow for Rhodes, ONO stands out by volume of reviews. That means there is a bit of hype to this place and whilst my wife and I did enjoy our visit, it didn’t quite live up to the hype. I shall explain.
Read moreFirstly, (mostly) clearly marked vegan options on menu and friendly, informative staff. I was slightly confused when asking why mushroom ravioli wasn’t vegan (when they have other ravioli that is vegan). Turns out they use dairy cream, not soya as per menu and it also has ricotta in. They’ve also had feedback portobello mushrooms aren’t vegan? Weird but ok.
Standout dishes - the vegan feta in filo pastry and fried is to die for and I’m quite curious if they self make this as I’ve never come across anything like it before (and I come from the UK where we are spoiled for choice for vegan cheese). That may be the dish I most miss when I leave Rhodes. Both desserts we had were awesome and the risotto was incredibly fresh and light. Bravo on the flavours there and some of the most tender asparagus I’ve ever had in my life. It melted in my mouth.
This was tempered by a couple of letdowns. The Israeli hummus was to be blunt quite bland. It had the silly smooth texture Israeli hummus is known for but they either forgot to add garlic or it had so little you couldn’t tell and it completely ruined the flavour. My wife’s tomato and cheese flatbread came out ‘quite warm’ rather than hot and meant the cheese hadn’t quite melted. Now vegan cheese is a fickle thing so no marks deduced for the lack of melt but temperature wise, absolutely could have been a tad hotter.
Final note - it was very quiet when we arrived c. 6pm - half an hour later it was heaving. Book ahead to avoid disappointment if eating later in the evening.

Amazing VG/VE food steps from Hostel - Edit
This place was amazing! It's just steps from the hostel I was staying at so I ate here 3x (2 breakfast 1 dinner).

I've eaten there with my boyfriend while pregnant and they were very nice and were careful about letting me avoid some stuff I couldn't eat. The food was simply marvelous, my boyfriend, who's not vegan, loved that too. Everything was super tasty and they also had the vegan feta cheese.

We went here a couple of times whilst on holiday. The atmosphere was great, staff friendly but most importantly the food was so good. Can highly recommend the shakshuka and the fried ‘feta’ starter.

Had a delicious meal here. Loads of vegan options and lovely vegan wine. The moussaka was incredible. Husband hoovered up his gnocchi. Staff were delightful. Not huge so good idea to book during busy times.

Loved absolutely everything we ate here and can't wait to come again. The service was wonderful throughout, and VEGAN TZATZIKI!! (Not to mention the filo vegan feta, homemade fava, and everything else we ate) worth booking ahead if you can as this restaurant does get busy but it is obvious why, thank you Happy Cow for helping us find this spot

Really vast vegan menu. Seating inside and out. Had the chickpea omelette and then split the maple syrup and fruit pancakes with my other half. Both were really nice and portion size was generous. Forgot to take a pic of the omelette until I’d eaten half of it! Highly recommend going to this place.

As much as I like to try lots of different places when visiting somewhere new, we found ourselves coming back here over and over. The vegan shakshouka was definitely a standout, and their falafel was the best falafel I’ve ever had. To be honest, I couldn’t fault any of the food we tried here and had we been in Rhodes longer we probably would have worked our way through the whole menu. To top it off, all of the staff were so lovely and the place has a really welcoming atmosphere

THE vegan place in Rhodes - Edit
Out of all our nights on Rhodes we ate here half of the nights, and would have done all nights if practical. This is an amazing place for vegans, and honestly the only of its kind that we found. Vegan Mediterranean classics like feta, Halloumi, falafel, croquettes and pasta dishes (ravioli!!). Everything is home made and cooked to order. Very talkative personnel and the owner, Mara, is a sweetheart.
