Options! - Edit
Stopped while driving through town. So many options on the menu. Got the fried cauliflower and the fried chicken sandwich. Both delicious. The chips are also crispy to perfection. Would definitely return to try other options.

Excellent beer + vegan food - Edit
This almost never happens. Usually it’s just fried or tots for me.

Best Vegan Options in Portage - Edit
One Well Brewing is the best restaurant for vegan food in Portage (and honestly the Kalamazoo area). The brewery itself is a spacious restaurant with many board games, pinball machines, and darts to play. They cater to big groups having big fun.
Read moreAs far as food goes, One Well has an expansive vegan menu focused on American junk food cuisine. I have had multiple items, and they never disappoint. It is a great way to get your non plant-based friends interested in vegan food as well. It is easily approachable for a typical American diet - vegan burgers, “ckn” sandwiches, tacos, po’ boys, etc.
Their drinks are also top notch. You have probably seen their unique branding of beer cans in the local supermarket. The cans are good, but the booze is elevated ordering from the tap. I recommend the Professor Nutter Butter for a smooth peanut butter ale.
One Well Brewing is a must try restaurant around the Kalamazoo area for the vegan hoping to indulge in some good, fatty American food.

Great Food and Atmosphere - Edit
I got the Out of the Woods pizza (mushroom based) and added red onion. My wife got the Bean Me Up Scottie sandwich. Both meals were great and we had leftovers.

Clearly labeled vegan options - Edit
Everything on the menu is extremely clearly labeled. “Vegan option…”, “Cabot be made vegan”, etc. Buffalo cauliflower wings and the Chicken…but sandwich were decent, but the sweet baby rays cauliflower wings were awesome!

My non-vegan friend tried my vegan pizza and liked it. Everything I’ve tried has been good. I try go whenever I’m in Kalamazoo.

Great food! - Edit
Traveling for work and found this place on the app. I had the vegan chicken sandwich with bbq sauce and it was delicious!! It also came with a side of house made chips. I would definitely come back here if I’m in the area again.

What a find - Edit
I wasn't expecting much at a restaurant close to my Kalamazoo airport hotel. But this place totally won me over! There are vegan options for at least 60% of the food and vegetarian options for at least 80%. I had the Don't Give a Cluck (Gardein) chicken sandwich. The spicy aoioli was incredible and the accompanying homemade potato chips were on point. They have tons of craft beer but I loved the non-alcoholic, on draft root beer.

Tons of vegan options - Edit
Almost the whole menu can be made vegan with their vegan cheese, chicken, and ground burger options! Also offer Beyond Meat brats. Their weekly specials always include vegan meals and at least one vegan soup / chili. House made root beer. Really relaxed, family friendly environments with play area and tons of arcade and board games
