Pass Paia town center enroute to Makawao you will see this fresh fruit and vegetable shop with a little juice bar cafe. Sells fresh produce by the pound or box. 2015 replaced the previously here Aloha Vegan Cafe. MAR 2016 REPORTED SHUT. Open Mon-Sat 10:00am-6:00pm.

Great smoothies and sandwiches - Edit
We stopped to pick up smoothies and sandwiches for the road to Hana. Everything was delicious. Emperor made our food with so much TLC. We also picked up some fresh starfruit while we were there - best we found on the island.
Pros: excellent food, super nice owner, great fresh fruit
Cons: service a bit slow (but worth the wait)

A "hidden" gem - Edit
Stopped here twice in December 2012 on a trip to Maui. Here's my Aloha Vegan Cafe review.
This is place is a basic little place off the road just past Paia town (going upwards). From the road you'll see a sign for fresh coconuts and One Love Farmers Market. Next door is an Aloha Maui yoga place, though is not always open.
The man who runs this place is named Emperor, and he is eager to assist. The first time we stopped by he helped us chopped open a fresh coconut in its husk and all, and after we drank the juice, he chopped it open again so we could eat the coconut meat.
The second time we stopped by to buy some island bananas, we ordered a smoothies that was a seasonal special: frozen egg fruit blended with pineapple, coconut, and spices. It was creamy, filling, and yummy.
Pros: fresh coconut, vegan, friendly service
Cons: very basic
