Inattentive Staff / Over Priced

The vegan pizza was very nice with nice sea front views, but staff were a little slow and completely forgot to bring us drinks. We had to ask to get the table wiped clean after previous people left and weren’t looked after once the food had come despite it being quite empty/not busy. For the price you pay, you can probably find places with more vegan options and more on it / attentive staff.

Fancy restaurant on the English Riviera

Such a beautiful location! Views of the ‘English Riviera’ which, if you’re blessed with a warm summer evening, doesn’t get much better than that!

Although the vegan options are slim (two starters and two mains options) my goodness they are delicious! We chose the crispy coconut bites for our starters and they were mouth-wateringly good. Perfect balance of textures and flavours. For our main we chose the rigatoni although I was tempted by the cashew cigars!

Pasta was top quality. Creamy and flavourful with lots of curious ingredients that worked well together. Red peppers, mushrooms, thyme, basil oil, crispy chickpeas in a cashew cream sauce. It almost shouldn’t work but absolutely did? We’ve since been cooking a variation of it at home!

Unfortunately no vegan dessert options which is a shame, although the other dishes are so filling we didn’t have room for one anyway!

Pros: Excellent food, Unbeatable views of the ocean, Friendly staff

Cons: They were short staffed due to covid, No vegan desserts

Could do better

Visited on an evening with a special menu so the vegan choices for the mains were limited to two types of linguini. Nice atmosphere but service was mixed - some of the staff were particularly helpful and welcoming, others dismissive. It is a restaurant rather than cafe so relatively pricey for what it is (£15 for a bowl of no terribly exciting pasta). Good location close to the seafront.

Pros: 3 vegan mains on the regular menu, Seafront location

Cons: Pricey, Service was mixed
