Great Options To Dine With Non Vegans $2.50 Taco Tuesday

They have a separate vegetarian menu & you can request to take off cheese. Technically there is a disclaimer that says the fried foods may be cooked in oil “in which meat products have been cooked.” I try not to eat too much fried food but occasionally…
I really love the fajitas. Those are my favorite. Great portions. Taco Tuesday discounts only $2.50 per taco! I enjoy the avocado taco & cilantro rice.

Ask for Separate Veg Menu

Food was decent. Excited to have multiple options at a place friends and family want to eat.

Pros: Vegetarian/vegan menu

Cons: Big chain, quality hit or miss

On The Border Mira Mesa

Okay, so it is kind of weird to choose to go here when there's a Loving Hut and so many amazing Indian restaurants around the area. I was so curious because this is a chain restaurant, and they have vegan food? I had to see it for myself. The chips and salsa here are vegan and pretty good. I got the veggie fajitas which came with rice and beans and a small scoop of guac. It was nice to see a vegan fajita plate, but the flavor was really lackluster. They didn't season the veggies at all, it was hot oily bell peppers. The rice was also a little lame and the beans were decent. They don't seem to use salt on anything!!! The corn tortillas are vegan so I was given those, and they were good. The guac was a tiny scoop which was disappointing. I don't think I'd go back with all of the options in the area, and the food didn't wow me enough to warrant a second visit. It's Americanized Mexican food and it's not got a lot of flavor. If I had made this food at home, it would've been excellent. Seeing as it was served in a restaurant, it wasn't especially great or authentic. I was impressed with their vegan options, though.
