This is a nice place to sit and wait for the boat, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here. I ordered a large salad (which wasn’t very large) and Thai dressing (but it was Japanese sesame sauce). It was fine but extremely average. Maybe I’ve been spoiled by all of the amazing vegan food in Ubud, but this was just okay.

Other posts about Padangbai have suggested limited vegan options here. I disagree. This is the best, I think, because there are quite a few menu choices; my vegie curry was really tasty, and the portion size was perfect. Not only that, the atmosphere (delightful courtyard as well as indoor and bar options) was lovely and the service was great. 115,000 IDR for a fab meal and a large beer. Omang means 'hermit crab' - they carry their home on their back: isn't that gorgeous!

Healthy vegan options - Edit
I had a smoothie bowl and a veganized quinoa salad. Ask the staff for vegan options. They also have fresh juices and smoothies.
