Om Sweet Home, Hong Kong - Edit
This place is not quite like anything I can recall having encountered before. Both myself and my partner in crime have had to give this some thought to consider how to classify this place.
Read moreOpened in 1st July 2015, the place has a very relaxed vibe. The lady who runs the place is lovely and seems to smile perennially. There's a few fluffy signs and stuff with messages about animals not being food. The impression I have is that the lady who runs this is living her dream of doing something she believes makes the world a better place rather than any sort of commercial or profit driven motive.
There's a table with 4 seats outside. Inside are more seats including some very comfy sofas centred around 2 tables. There appears 2 different parts to what they sell:-
* the easiest part to describe is all the stuff that makes up a normal all vegetarian health food shop. Stuff on the shelf, in the fridge and in the freezer
* the second part is what they sell at the counter. There's clearly some very appealing cakes on display some of which are vegan friendly. The lady also offers a short menu of snack items (e.g. instant noodles) for which there's no price and customers are simply asked to make a donation.
They also sell some smoothies that are milk based. My co diner asked for a coffee and some juice. The message back was that for the moment at least these aren't sold but we were welcome to get some coffee / juice shop from the coffee shop a few doors up and bring them into Om Sweet Home. That is exactly what we did.
The atmo in this place is wonderfully relaxed. The lady working there is a delight of cheerfulness. The selection in the health food shop is great.

Great purpose, tasty food - Edit
This little cafe is run by a lovely lady who is extremely accommodating and inviting. The food is very tasty and cooked without oil, and is more of a tapas-style menu as you pick and choose what food you want. It's not really like a restaurant where you sit down and order dishes, but rather snacks. There is a great tea selection. You pay on a donation basis which means that you often pay quite a lot for a simple meal, but it all goes towards a great cause.
Read morePros: Great mock meats - especially the satay, Lovely message , Great teas
Cons: Limited seating , Not really like a cafe/restaurant, has mainly snac, Unsure of how much to donate at times
