Surprisingly Had Options

I came here to eat with my Omni family a while back and was surprised to find out that they had multiple vegan menu items. The gazpacho is vegan and it was amazing, it was flavorful and filling. The other main option I saw was the bolognese without the garlic bread as your side, I didn’t order it but it was nice having some options. Obviously, there were other items that were plant-based like the house salad and their french fries, but it was a nice surprise to see actual vegan options at an upscale restaurant in a small southern town. Overall if you are in Southport (which has few vegan-friendly restaurants) Olivers would be a good place to check out.

Hey Finxch! As a strict vegan, I appreciate the reviews for plant-based food on the NC shoreline. I'm particularly interested in Southport and Wilmington, as I hope to relocate (from New York) in the near future. Thanks for sharing! Stay well and all the best!

Jibiki, Panacea in Wilmington is an all vegan brewery/restaurant with amazing pub style food. When you come down, definitely check it out.
In Southport try Cafe Koa. Melanie (owner) goes out of her way to accommodate vegans. There are some vegan offerings (always so delicious), and she will work with you to veganize other items if you choose to do that. Usually a vegan cake option, too!
